Reviews of SRP Park
"First time to SRP park, with my 7 year old son, we’ve gone to all the Carolina league ball parks…. SRP park is nice, and we did enjoy the game, until the middle of the 8th inning. Our tickets ,We sat 3 rows back in section 102 the entire game, sitting that close you notice when seats aren’t taken or haven’t even been sat in the entire game. Well after my son successfully got all the Charleston city dogs,(go dogs) signatures, ideally he wanted to try for the home team, the green jackets. Prior to the game Starting and even 30 minutes into the game, multiple kids sat in section 101 empty seats attempting to get an autograph. So let’s fast forward Here we are, middle of the 8th, 3 outs, green jackets down by 5, I mentioned to my son that only one section over in 101, no one had sat in the first three rows the entire game. We decided with barely half the entire stands filled, we would be ok to venture to those seats for 9 whole outs, or 1.5 innings, to be able to catch some green jacket players and grab the autographs at the end of the game. We start our adventure one section over with some dippin dots, and start to head down to those seats, Well 5 minutes into sitting down and eating, not disturbing anyone or asking anyone anything, William, the “usher” came down and asked if we had tickets, I politely said, “no sir we are one section over, and trying to get a autograph at the end of game”, he stated that those seats “the ones no one has sat in” are reversed for season ticket holders. I said “Well yea that makes sense, but it’s the 8th with 3 outs to go, and one inning left, no one sat in these seats the entire game”. Well William was just on a mission to ruin my sons time at the game. He refused to let us sit there for the remaining time, all thought every other section had people moving to it from around the park, the ballpark event staff even tried to help us out, but the usher named William kept denying anything. (William and employee should not have authority to make that decision ) The only reason this bothers me, is because he was targeting my son, he said nothing to any other child that was down in that section during the game or anything. We will never return to see the green jackets play. Columbia, Jacksonville, and Charleston all have some common sense and decency when it comes to the younger generation and the ball game, letting people move seats has been something done since I was young, but it seems SRP parks employee William is determined to have the most empty section, and ruin the game for younger generations, My son left the game crying, this is the only time we have had a negative experience at these ball games, after spending hundreds to enjoy the game and souvenirs , William ruined it all bc he was so determined to do his job and refuse anyone to sit in the empty seats that never once got sat in, although we all know common sense and common decency could have prevailed and my son not hurting or interfering with anyone could have enjoyed the rest of the game. As you can tell from the photos, the first 8 innings were gear for us, but you’ll notice There is no one in Williams section in the first three rows, very poor customer service from William **as a side note, obviously the entire season ticket holder section doesn’t want to deal with William either, because that is the section that was most empty. SRP Parks season ticket holders don’t even show for the games….. let that sink in, and William Is the usher for that section….I don’t think my experience is the first one like this for that section!"
"We visited recently for a family night and really enjoyed ourselves. It was easy to book tickets, get to our parking, get through security and get snacks prior to the game. Family friendly for all ages with nice variety of seating and food options. Very clean. It was easy to observe the game from pretty much any seat."
"Excellent ballpark! Parking is easy. Stadium is very nice. Lots of different food options and a full bar menu. Recommend the food at The Grill behind 3rd base seats. Best sections to sit are 104 and 106 to me. Behind net on 1st base side."
"SRP Park is a wonderful family friendly stadium. The parking upon arrival is always easily accessible. If you decide to park in the garage furthest from the park, the park provides free golf cart rides to the stadium. All the drivers are friendly and make you feel like family. I usually buy my tickets online; however, they can be bought at the box office quickly and there are almost always seats when you decide at the last minute to take in a game. The stadium is big and spacious. The seating is fantastic. I don't believe there is a bad seat anywhere. All the employees are helpful and go out of their way in every situation I have encountered. The walk around the park is beautiful with lovely river views. There is a huge children's area (at a small additional fee) with jump houses, inflatable slides, a playground, and many other kid friendly choices. There are traditional ballpark foods combined with local favorites (including pimento cheese). The players are friendly and will take the time to sign autographs and talk to the fans before and after the game. If you are looking for a fun and reasonably priced family night, the Green Jackets are a perfect choice. I do want to add that beginning this season (2023) many vendors are only taking credit/debit cards so having cash on hand is not a necessity. Also, please have a clear stadium bag rather than a purse but they will let you bring in a regular diaper bag."
"Beautiful, clean, tons of sponsors an vendors. Food is good and drinks are great. We did the baseball bingo and won a huge goody bag plus free boberry bisquits from Bojangles !! First time there and will definitely be back. She even got a ball from the game to take home !!"
