"Extremely Disappointing Experience at GameCorps, Erie PA Review: As a first-time customer at GameCorps in Erie, PA, my experience was deeply unsatisfactory, to the point of frustration. I was in the market for the One Piece TCG and came across their website which showed the item as available for pre-order. Eager to secure my purchase, I called the store to confirm the inventory. The staff assured me they could fulfill my request, prompting me to place the pre-order for a set that was to be released in about a month. However, the actual experience was a stark contrast to what was promised. As the release week approached, I reached out for a status update. This turned out to be a herculean task, as it took numerous attempts to connect with someone who had a clear understanding of their e-commerce system. The consistent instruction was to keep calling back and ask for different personnel - a frustrating and time-consuming process. The ordeal peaked on the third day of continuous calling when I was finally informed that their webmaster, responsible for the online system, had quit. They admitted to being unable to manage the system and, shockingly, revealed that the webmaster had prematurely posted the stock availability. As a result, my order, which was placed well in advance, could not be fulfilled. Seeking a resolution, I requested a refund. Astonishingly, I was told that the process depended on the webmaster, who had already quit, potentially returning to initiate the refund. This approach not only demonstrated a lack of responsibility but also a disregard for customer service. As of writing this review, I have neither received the much-anticipated product nor any refund. This experience with GameCorps has been nothing short of a nightmare, characterized by mismanagement and poor customer communication. I regret to say that I am left with no choice but to rate them with the lowest possible score. To potential customers, I advise caution and suggest looking elsewhere to avoid a similar ordeal. Zero stars, if such a rating were possible."
