"Huge crack problem in the building and that's just one of a multitude of issues. Avoid."
"This building was featured on the local NBC Affiliate NEWS 10 NBC. Residents complaining about no heat, Bed Bugs and Roaches and Mice. Place is a S-Hole ( I was told by a resident ) filled with many sketchy people."
"I have been living here for almost 5 years period and through that time span I've seen it try to get a little better with staff and with the environment. Elevators are always broken front door security door is always broken or damaged. Staff does take time for to fix things. There is no organized Community anything in the building. Over the course of time it has slowly improved a little bit. Wish that there was a community newspaper some type of community activities Plus if there are children in a one bedroom apartment there should be a safe place for those children to play which there isn't. But over the course of times very very slowly things are improving not the best place to live but it's somewhere to live. The worst place to live. $695 for a one bedroom hope in a wall surrounded by crack heads, drugdealers, prostitution, thieves, cons, and manipulators with poor staff."
"It is a little crazy, but remember you get what you pay for. Southview is cheap, beautiful location, and accessible; however it is a a little of what everyone here said just not to the extreme."
"Filthy. Elevators tend to have trash and pee in them, when they are operational (which is half the time). Stairway is even worse. The neighbors yell and slam doors all night, my favorite is when they have screaming matches at each other in the hallways. For a few weeks someone kept pulling the fire alarm and the fire department kept having to come out to turn it off for us. The security guards are nice and I feel bad for them, working there. There are mice, bedbugs, and roaches. Maintenance is nice but overworked- any issues can take weeks of constant calls before they are fixed. The one time we got fast service was when we needed window screens installed because our cat fell and died. They never finished the job either. Laundry room is disgusting and people will move or even steal your clothing. I have lived here for 2 years with promises of remodels and I am SO glad to be moving out."
