"DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU ARE A STUDENT!!! I lived here for 2 years. The first year was fine with no issues and the leasing office was not bad. The second year was terrible! Firstly, my cars back window was broken into while it was parked outside the building. Noting was stolen but I had to file a police report and spend a few days in the winter with no back window, doesn't make you feel safe. Secondly, during a very cold week in winter I was out of the apartment for a day and then came back to pick something up. I walked into my apartment to see that it completely flooded and that all my belongings had been moved out of my room and my cabinets had been ripped off the wall. I called the maintenance worker and they told me that last night a pipe burst due to the cold, my heat was on, and that it flooded. They didn't notify me that my apartment had flood which I would consider standard practice. After that they put giant fans in my apartment to dry out the floor and replace the water damaged carpet. During this time the apartment wasn't inhabitable due to no thermostat, a hole in the celling and heating fans going all day long. I called the office and asked if they had other accommodation for me while the apartment was being repaired. The lady on the phone talked to my like I was a moron and was very rude, no help at all. I ended up staying elsewhere with a friend. The apartment was finished a week and a half after that and thankfully I didn't have to pay for any repairs. Lastly when I moved out of the apartment it took the office 3 months to return my Security deposit. I called the office numerous times and had an impossible time getting through. Left multiple voice mails with no response. I finally got through and got another number for the finance office. I had to do the leg work to coordinate with the finance office to get my security deposit. During this I was in college and it was hell trying to balance school and a poorly managed apartment! Overall, I would absolutely not suggest living here at all costs!"
"Swiss village is the WORST! along with multiple “amenities” being broken and never fixed. I had 3 floods in my house! One with doo doo from the upstairs neighbors toilet and they didn’t fix that until a WEEK later. The second flood pipe burst they broke the door to get into my house on CHRISTMAS! Never gave us a call. Just came home and found multiple presents destroyed with fans blowing. The third floor is what made us move out officially! It’s started pouring on us IN OUR SLEEP IN OUR BEDROOM! In 7 degree weather! The whole ceiling caved in, multiple things were damaged and they did not fix any of this up until the point when we moved out 1.5 month later"
"Jill was very helpful through the whole apartment rental process and was very responsive to questions. Apartment was fairly clean, nice appliances and freshly painted. Things were not perfect but this is an older rental property so for the price it was on par with other places I've rented from. If your looking for something pristine be prepared to pay double. The location is just minutes from RT5, 690 and any store you might need. So far very happy with apartment , staff and location."
"I love the Swiss Village Apartments. The basement apartment is so adorable and has so much space. For a basement, it had such big windows. I loved how quiet the parking lot was, and it felt very safe. I seldom worried about my car. There was one washer in the basement, which was pretty convenient. The managers of the property were amazing, and I enjoyed chatting with the maintenance workers while passing. Everyone was so friendly. Walmart is no more than a 7 minute drive. The highway is no more than 2. Everything was so close. My life felt so peaceful while here. There were some maintenance issues, but they handled it as soon as they could. I appreciated this place as one of my stops on my life's journey."
"I currently live at the Swiss Alps which is under the same management as the Swiss Village and located just down the hill. I am very happy here. The apartment is very cute. The location is great, close to many stores and restaurants and yet with a suburban feel. The staff has been nothing but nice to me. I can go in the office to drop off the rent and will just chat with Jill. I also like the fact that tenants range in all ages and races. There are singles, seniors and families. Sometimes it's very quiet and sometimes a bit noisy, but that's apartment living. I have recommended this apartment complex to a friend."
