"A MUST SEE if you are anywhere in the area! Beautiful hiking trails & waterfalls! We paid an entrance fee to have our car enter, but it was well worth it having spent 3 hours there. We would have loved to spend the whole day, if we could! Bring good walking shoes. Lots of great overlooks to experience. We started on the north side and ended near the southwest end, which provided an interesting progression of intensity for the waterfalls. Visiting at the end of October meant that there were stunning fall leaves. Kids would love this place! I felt totally safe at every stop along the road. Really neat picnic tables available and stone walls."
"Amazingly beautiful place with the water falls. Niagara in a smaller scale and no hussale and bussale of big city. Calm and enjoy. Old house is so charming that you mig find songe authors or an poet might be atik working in there somewhere. Nice restaurant, gardens and a hotel also. Camping ground and a lodge is also in ther."
"Found the conference center... behind the building is trail 2A...long walk, lots of hills, but nothing extreme...two foot bridges while following the stream. Didn't make it all the way to the end because it was getting dark, so I had to turn back. Will be doing this trail again for sure!!"
"Amazing views, walkable waterfalls, beautiful scenery, and only $10 to get in. They do have policy of leave what you came in with which means no garbage cans anywhere in the park. This is little deal but something to note. Also cash only for park admission."
"This very easy access paved roadway NY State Park is beautiful. It’s called THE GRAND CANYON OF THE EAST - and with a deep gorge (hiking allowed sometimes), multiple pull-offs for viewing, you’ll find some fantastic photo opportunities with three waterfalls, loads of animal spotting, a huge and high up train trestle (you might be tempted and able to go up to the train tracks and sneak across - but the parks cops are quite observant & if a train comes - you have very few options for safety) The park has huge public picnic areas, camping locations with cabin, RV,and tenting areas, hiking trails, a museum, a fantastic dining spot, tourist stores, a motel, inn, and a Seneca Indian village."
