"Love this beach. We went for labor day weekend and it was amazing, the water was clear, loaded with beach glass (my favorite) and there's a nice park with a bar/restaurant. It almost is like it's near the ocean, but it's a lake."

"A nice beach with sand that is good for kids to play with. The lifeguards on duty are attentive and helpful. It is also close to the splash pad and bathrooms. Plenty of parking and it is free. They also have 4 pickleball courts nearby and a skatepark. The beach doesn't have shade but the park behind it has some. There isn't a good place to sit in the shade and watch kids on the beach."

"Definitely bring water shoes. It is a sandy beach, but it has natural debris and some trash. Lots of sticks and pebbles. It's very shallow and perfect for kids. There are 3 life guards today :) There is a bar and snackbar across the street with restrooms. Also, a splash pad, volleyball, and a park! Such a nice chill spot that feels safe and friendly. You could easily spend an entire day here."

"This is absolutely a hidden gem that I wish I would have known about sooner. There is a beautiful beach with sand and very minimal rocks and it also has decent parking, along with a huge splash pad for all ages, a beautiful playground that is very handicap accessible, a bar/restaurant and another snack shack type place. Both places have a large combined outdoor seating area. There are also restrooms, picnic tables, and so much more. And it's all FREE (except the food/ drinks) but bring a picnic like we did if you don't want to spend a ton on food. It's an hour drive, easy to find and it is WELL WORTH IT!!!! We will definitely be going back again."
