Reviews
"Pros: Charming atmosphere; Excellent acoustics; "Book of Mormon" was fantastic! Cons: Tight seating (be warned, tall friends!); Lengthy line for the women's restroom If you can handle the cozy quarters and bathroom logistics, the Eugene O'Neill Theatre offers a unique and enjoyable Broadway experience. Just remember to wear comfy shoes, arrive early for intermission, and be prepared to belt out some hilarious tunes with your fellow theatergoers. And hey, maybe you'll even score some leg stretches during the standing ovations!"
"The Book of Mormon play at the Eugene O'Neill Theater is a well written musical comedy from the creators of South Park. I love this type of humor, and I really enjoyed the show. It's not really suitable for kids with all the cursing. The theater itself was fair. Seats are definitely not big enough for average sized Americans, and if there is a 6-foot person sitting in front of you, you will have a hard time watching the performance. Bathrooms weren't big enough and could not hand the intermission crowd. Security and staff were impressive. It's definitely a must-see New York Broadway play experience."
"I recently had the pleasure of watching the Book of Mormon, and I must say, it was a truly entertaining and humorous experience. The show's clever writing and wit had me laughing throughout. However, it is important to note that the production does contain vulgar language and explicit content, so it may not be suitable for all audiences. The actors' performances were outstanding, showcasing their talent and dedication to their roles. Their delivery of the comedic elements was impeccable, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience. The theater itself has a charming vintage feel, which adds to the ambiance of the show. However, it is worth mentioning that the seating arrangement may not be the most comfortable. The seats are quite small, and the armrests are positioned in a somewhat awkward manner. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Book of Mormon is a must-see for those who appreciate sharp humor and exceptional acting. Just be prepared for some explicit language and ensure that you are comfortable with the content before attending."
"The building is old, but has its own vibe. Everyone is super welcoming and nice. Went there to see The a Book of Mormon and it was great! Tickets are pricy, but hey, it's Broadway. Definitely recommend"
"Saw the Book of Mormon this after noon, the theater is gorgeous and the show was spectacular. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the woman who was in charge of mezzanine rear left and the seats were on the small side. That woman was miserable and barking orders at everyone around rather than just just asking nicely if things weren’t done to protocol. She needs a lesson in customer service. All the other employees were super nice and accommodating. Unless u r smaller than 5’5 and weigh less than 150, u might find it kinda of tight. Theater and show were amazing!"
