Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site

"We really enjoyed visiting this historic park. You can take a informative walk of a few miles to see the entire site. There are great views of Lake Ontario as well."

"This park has a nice historic trail with signs telling the story. There is a small village area with homes that you can tour, and this area is paid admission only. I have my 2 little dogs and skipped the village. The walk around the park was plenty to do. The view of the water was nice and relaxing. There is a museum near the parking lot. There is also a monument between the village and the large parking area, close to the smaller parking lot next to the water. When you walk the oval shapes trail, there is a section that branches away from the park toward the wster, and not too far of a walk is another monument close to some homes. This park is very clean. It also has bathrooms close to the museum."

"A picturesque place on the water that is quite peaceful and historic. They offer live music at certain times and a great opportunity to come and spend some time on the waterfront. There isn’t much to do, other than learn about the history of the Battle of 1812 or look out at the water, but it’s still a great place to come and spend some time in Sackets Harbor!"
