"Great local place with really good food and a nice beer selection. It is a neighborhood bar and is predominantly black (I was the only white guy) but I felt totally comfortable. It’s a really nice place with a DJ playing current and old school music."
"Atmosphere...super fun...deejays...so dope...perfect blend of hip hop and r&b real turntable mixing...with serious music affectionados . I had a great time hanging in a party of 14 of my Sorority sisters. As for the food...meh. really meh. In other words it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't anything at all to write home about. I asked others about their dishes and I took a good look at their dishes. Their comments: The fried chicken...over cooked, the Shrimp and grits underwhelming (please remove the tail shell when serving with grits) the burger was okay...the wings looked dry, but had good flavor...the sangria was a hit. I ordered 2 dishes...the Kale and Quinoa salad and the Crab Cakes Benedict which I did not know came with potatoes (a disappointment) and a small spinach salad, lightly dressed. Dish 1. Kale and Quinoa...best dish. It was light yet filling. I would have liked larger beets, but overall the flavor profile was really a nice balance of acid and sweet with a nice crunch. *read the menu* Dish 2. The Crab Cakes Benedict. The poached egg was perfectly cooked. The Crab cake was a miss for me. I tasted mostly filling...not much Crab at all. The missing mesculin greens from that dish removed the expected brightness from eating a rich yolkey dish. The English muffin did not play a strong support role at all. Would I go back? Absolutely! Did I mention the deejays are fire? I just think when it's busy (and it really was). There just has to be greater care given to the preparation for every dish served. HARLEM is full of foodies."
"The food was good and with a nice presentation. The service was also good but the music was way too loud for a brunch. I could barely hear my thoughts and we weren’t even close to the speakers."
"Very busy place but great vibes and pleasant service makes up for the wait time. Now, trust me when I tell you! You need the red velvet cake topped with vanilla Haagen daz. It was so good I wanted another round but I was too full from my shrimp & grits."
