"I would really like to speak with someone regarding the Corporate Challenge that's held every year at Delaware Park. Can someone please explain to me why that is? Why is this large event held at a public park ,Delaware Park that everyone in the neighborhood accesses as opposed to Rich Stadium or UB or ECC. How is it appropriate to tie up Parkside,Amherst,Colvin Blvd and Delaware Street for this event that has absolutely nothing to do with the community at large? This event is a corporate event with runners sponsored by the companies in this event. If several property owners and renters aren't part of this event then why are the people sealed off from streets they normally access to and from their own homes. Coming from work to get home or just having free access to a PUBLIC Park. It's ridiculous, and quite frankly outrageous. Corporate Challenge should be a event venue thru ECC,or one of the Colleges or Rich Stadium. The Sponsors of this event should be thinking about the entire community and how this event is not appreciated by its disturbance with all the traffic. Or pick another park like Chestnut Ridge that isn't as busy so the general community simply attempting to enjoy themselves seeking a peaceful walk, run or bike ride can do so. Furthermore this event should have been based on a community vote. After all it's a public park."
"I've been playing Caz for 53 years and I've never seen the courses in better shape I go back to Willie Graber day's and the pride and passion that man had well its back the best starters the golf Carts are always dry and gassed up the greenskeepper excellent job there trimming all the trees it's been a pleasure playing Caz again and South park I feel proud to say there my home cours"
"Visited for our friends wedding. The park was pretty and well landscaped. However, before the wedding started I noticed the womans' bathroom garbage was overflowing onto the floor. When I asked the park worker to please change it I was told that's not their job!! Really Buffalo Parks department!? I thought we were past the big paycheck and amazing benefits and minimal work!! I had to ask the caterer to please take care of it. She did. Thank you Edible Crush Catering!! The Wedding was a success and the food amazing!"
"They lack to take care of basketball courts uneven surface to make it safe for all and the exercise hasn't been kept up in the last 3 yrs nor the playground for the children with new wood chips to keep people(and children) from tracking through mud although several requests have been made."
"I hate to give such a negative review of a volunteer organization but in this case it's the right thing to do. I went to Buffalo for the day twice recently and both times - beautiful summer morning around 9 or 11 - the boat rentals at Hoyt Lake were closed. I asked around and other people in the park all told me the same thing: "yeah the guy that runs the boat rental is a flake; he's never around". What I was hoping to be a high point of the trip was a bust."
