"I wouldn’t bring my dog to this place. The “person” working the counter Aliyah, is rude and just scrolls Instagram while talking to you. She really couldn’t be bothered helping anyone. She even input my information wrong and the OD (no MDs there, just an OD) , had to tell her to correct it. As for the Dr, “Jennifer”, she’s lost. She tries the obvious treatment which I could have done at home , and if that doesn’t work, she avoids all calls to her after you leave the office. Even though telling me in the office, if any problem just call her , she’s in the office all weekend. Well, I called because what she assumed was the proper treatment didn’t work. I called and called , left messages; never got a call back. AVOID THIS PLACE !! THEY DON’T CARE !!"
"I went to the ProHealth Urgent Care located at 254-61 Nassau Boulevard in Little Neck, NY in the beginning of January 2023. I was erroneously charged a $30 co-pay for a COVID test, which should have been 100 percent free with my insurance. I was told a refund would be issued to my credit card. My credit card was not refunded. I called ProHealth and was told that, for some reason, they could not process a refund on my credit card and that they’d mail me a check for the $30. I have since called ProHealth about ten times, and each time I am told that the check is either on the way or will be mailed out soon. The last representative I spoke with said she would personally call me back with a status update and she never did. Now, every time I call ProHealth and select the option for a “call back,” I am not even getting a call back. It’s been four months and I do not think ProHealth has any intention on returning the co-pay that I should have never been charged in the first place."
"I work in a hospital, see patients daily and understand the stressors of health care facilities. However; even with 1 dr on staff for the day the desk tells me the doc is on his break and has to finish his notes before he can see new patients. We don’t know when that would be but 45 mins should be good. I came back in 45mins and was told he wasn’t back yet or taking patients from his break. Health care comes first- I frequently am working 8 hour shifts without breaks and have to do my notes at home. That is not an excuse to not give patient care even if you are the only one. No excuses, do better!"
"I was a bit hesitate to go to this place due to the bad reviews. But I didn't want to go far for the test because I was not feeling well. There were 8 people in front of me and we were waiting outside the building since the lobby was full. It took half an hour. There were two medical receptionists working there. They seems doing their jobs well. The waiting time is due to high volume of patients. I forgot to bring my ID but had insurance card with me. I am thankful to Ms Farah Best who allowed me to present the ID after the test as I told her I have been waiting outside for half an hour.. After registration, she told me it will be about 2 hours' waiting time. I was a bit overwhelmed, to be honest. But again, when I was waiting at the lobby, I saw the waiting time is also due to too many patients there. I decided to take the gap to go home get my ID. When I returned, Ms Best told me 5 people ahead of me now. The waiting was not long and I got inside the lab. The young lady didn't have lunch yet when I asked her. It's almost 1:30 already. I saw her working there this morning. I feel bad for those hard working people there. I could understand why they look tired and couldn't welcome patients with more warm attitude. I give this place 4 stars because I did get tested and they were doing their jobs."
"This place is poorly managed and disorganized. The receptionists are abrasive and often have no qualms about displaying their frank annoyance with you, as if you came to panhandle from them. Not a way to treat a customer, let alone a patient. I inquired about COVID-19 antibody testing. They told me they had no idea whether my insurance would cover it, and if so, how much. How much is the test itself? No idea. Ok, then I told them I’d be paying cash, what would it cost? No clue, and only annoyance at how many questions were being asked. Seems like they want patients to be like little robots, quietly doing as they say, and then paying whatever necessary without questioning. On another occasion, I came to get a flu shot. They advertise they do them. But no, no flu shots that particular day, so wasted a trip. In all fairness the physician I interacted there with was fine. My advice is: call ahead and ask very specific questions about what you need (be as specific as possible— e.g., which tests, x-rays, whether a physician is on duty and not midlevel providers like NP or PA); and take a deep breath as you may encounter annoyance and rudeness in the process."
