"Took our kid here to check out his swollen foot and rule out cellulitis since it had been a week. Front desk found his old chart from 3 years ago and asked for updated insurance. She took the insurance and then said they don't accept our insurance. We said we'll pay cash for a visit and we'll wait, no problem. Some other lady with short hair came out and said they don't take any insurance with high deductibles and that we can't pay cash because then they will get in trouble with the insurance... What???? I don't understand how it would matter to anyone if I pay cash... Plus they said they don't even take that insurance... there would be no reason to contact any insurance. We told her that we've been there before and in fact, we paid cash one or two times previously without issues. She said the policy changed and that there is a rule that if they don't accept our insurance that we can't be seen there at all. What?? My wife asked if other places are like that or just there and she said just there, it's a new rule... and to go to an urgent care in downtown flushing instead. The lady with the short hair then told the two front desk girls in Chinese to ignore us.!!! We speak Chinese (We are Chinese but spoke English at the outset) and so we asked to speak directly with the Doctor in Chinese and they asked why do we want to speak with the doctor? She said he is busy and he has no time to talk with us. She did not even go ask, then she left and ignored us completely. I said OK whatever, give me the parking coupon and the short hair lady was hesitant at first (she's cheap too, for real...) but I insisted, cause why would I be short the parking fee just cause they don't want to see my kid? She finally gave it to me probably to just get us out of there. Just wanted to write this review so that everyone will know that while Dr. Zhiyou Zhang is great and very knowledgeable from our past experiences (I'm sure the other doctors there are great too), that the short hair lady and the front desk are utterly rude and just terrible. Doctors are 5 stars but this place overall is 1 to 2 stars because the front desk people and short hair lady really make it a bad experience!!! They can be sure that we'll never go back there again (except to talk to the doctor directly)!! ===== I also read through the other reviews and it seems the main issue with the low ratings is because of the short hair lady and the front desk. - It's really no wonder when they have patient charts just lying around on the floor everywhere!! Surely the patient records should be better organized and protected!"

"One Wednesday in April, I called the office and the front desk told me that Dr. Zhang was here today. I told her that my son seems to have an allergy and has a red and pimple on his thigh. She asked me to email them the details and they would ask the doctor and then get back to me. I did sent the email with photo. After that I called office again around 5:40pm it was transfer to answering service. I didn't get a reply from the office until Friday, so I send the text massage to Dr.Li's personal cell phone number and got reply. Yesterday, I was shock because I received insurance's EOB that shows insurance paid for office visit. They forget that the patient has been waiting for their reply, but NEVER forget to claim to insurance. Dr. Li, whom my son has been seeing since he was born. I have no complaint with Dr. Li. She is kind, patient and professional."

"Good doctors, poor front desk services!!! Dr. Zhang and Dr. Li are very professional, friendly and enthusiastic pediatricians. They both worth 5 stars. My kid has been seeing them since birth for three years. However I have to switch to another doctor because of the extremely unfriendly nurse who gave me terrible experience. Once my kids was sick and I called to make a reservation in the morning, but when I arrived there I still have to wait for about 2 hours. I tried to negotiate with the front desk but the nurse yelled at me and gave me attitude. Later on, when I run into her near the clinic one day, she also showed her attitude to me and ignored my greetings. I feel ridiculous and I don’t think I can take this anymore in the future. It’s a shame that I have to leave these excellent doctors just because of a poor nurse, but there is not much I can do. Also, the waiting time is extremely long, just a heads up."

"They are by far the best pediatricians I have ever met. My daughter was born when she saw Dr. Zhang now she 11 years old. Because of his professional ability and knowledge, I trusted his so followed him from Brooklyn to Queens to thanks god I met Dr. Li. which is the same professional. So I been seeing Dr Li about few years. They are my best experience even. Whole team of staff like the professional skills of the nurses and the communication the front desk were the best experiences I've ever seen in New York. Especially in New York where people don't make appointments on time. It made the children aren’t afraid to see a doctor and had bad memories of injections, pills,etc . Don’t know how to Appreciate it. I hope that this review will help new parents find the good pediatric around NYC."
