"I’ve tried for the last time to buy a chopped salad! The toppings aren’t fresh and the other Spanish girl doesn’t speak English very well. The lettuce was soggy and the tuna was cheap!!!!"

"SICK OF THIS PLACE!!! They profile people (especially black folks) and accuse them of stealing all the time. I visited a month ago and walked in with my personal bag on my back.(They normally have you check shopping bags if you have, not your personal bag.) I picked up a cart and shopped as I usually would and checked out normally. As I’m walking out the security guard loudly approached me and said I needed to check my bag, why didn’t I check it etc etc. As someone who constantly spends money there, I was so taken back and hurt. They will never get my business EVER again, please be aware."

"If you don't speak Spanish, DO NOT GO HERE!! If you have to order a hero or something, they will get your order ALL WRONG‼️ English isn't my first language either. But these people need to do SO MUCH BETTER ‼️ I'M DONE WITH THEM! I WILL NEVER BUY A HERO FROM HERE AGAIN! I MAY NEVER GO BACK HERE!! HORRIBLE, JUST HORRIBLE ‼️ My hero was not only made incorrectly. The hero was made so nasty & sloppy. I asked for cheddar cheese, & got American cheese. Which I HATE! The guyS back there didn't speak ENGLISH!!"

"Thursday, December 7, 2023. Title: Mandatory bag check. I am puzzled. The NY state mandate is bring your own bag, yet I had to surrender this at security before shopping. I was puzzled. How will I shop? I eventually gave him the small should bag. While I purchased, the cashier said she would still charge me for a new bag. She said that I could get mine -- I did -- walking yards away, delaying the line. During a polite conversation with the store manager, he said it's a complex issue, trying to quell the shoplifting. I replied: putting the meek under the microscope will not solve the situation -- while blatant grabbing goes unchecked by the weak-kneed when it's time to act! City Fresh Supermarket 1380 Pennsylvania Avenue Brooklyn, New York."

"I have lived around here for about 5 years and they still have yet to make a change with their customer service. I go there at least once a week with my gym bag, not once am I stopped to leave it at security ( mind you, all of my personal things are in this bag) and today the security is literally screaming to me as I’m walking to look at their horrible fruits to leave my bag then starts to talk in Spanish which I completely understood being Dominican myself. Don’t start trash talking in your own language because I promise you, you will meet the wrong one who understands everything. They real lucky I just wanted to go back home but that was most definitely embarrassing. Let it happen again and we shall see who’s going to be embarrassed. This supermarket just seems to keep getting expensive also. They shouldn’t be open at this point, hiring horrible employees with no etiquette and not offering the quality of food you’re paying for."
