"Extremely Disappointing Experience at Doctor’s office located at 1575 Broadway Suite 2, Hewlett, NY 11557 . Maisel Blinderman Olin & Bryer office . I recently had an appointment at Doctor’s office Maisel Blinderman Olin & Bryer for my newborn baby's checkup and scheduled vaccinations for my 2-year-old son. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I feel compelled to share it with others considering this office. Firstly, I was advised to arrive 15 minutes prior to my scheduled time, which I did. However, after waiting for a total of 55 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, my family and I had to leave without being seen. The waiting room was filled with children displaying distinctive signs of illness, including the flu. When I inquired about the wait time, one of the nurses informed me that some patients had been waiting for 2-3hours, and an hour was considered "just an hour." Waiting for such an extended period, especially with a healthy newborn, in a facility where other children were clearly unwell, raised concerns about the potential spread of contagious illnesses. I take my children's health seriously, and this situation was far from ideal. I am deeply disappointed in the lack of organization, communication, and consideration for patients' time and well-being at Maisel Blinderman Olin & Bryer . My toddler's scheduled vaccinations had to be postponed, which is a critical aspect of his healthcare. Now, I am left with the task of finding another doctor's office, making a new appointment, and hoping to get my toddler's vaccines done, as well as scheduling a checkup for my one-month-old baby girl. I want to ensure that others are aware of the challenges they might encounter when making an appointment at this office. It's essential not to set high expectations for timely and organized healthcare services. Prioritizing the health and well-being of your loved ones is paramount, and finding a healthcare provider that aligns with your expectations is crucial. "We came to this practice at the recommendation of a friend about 4 years ago, and we have no regrets. We started out with Dr. Bryer (before he retried) and now take our two children to Dr. Blinderman. Front desk staff and nurses are friendly and knowledgeable. Office is clean and organized. We are confident in the information we are provided and the care our children receive."
