"Came to office the gate is down and a real estate agent posted ad on this doctor door, for rent or lease. Called his office number and found out from another office who has no clue but only info they had was this doctor Sasha Abraham retired and closed his office or his practice. Neither him nor his secretary didn’t informed his patient parents just closed it like as if it was a store that just got closed off and that’s it. No charts available to retrieve no info on where to get it from no copies to obtain. Doctor’s former office phone number goes to some kind of another office where staff has no clue who you are and why you calling and which doctor had forwarded his phone don’t know either. How can after these many years of seeing his patients he shot down practice without informing his patients and close just like that? He must have hated all his patients so much that he decided to get a revenge that way, or he just didn’t give a damn anymore since he is retired. Well, maybe practice did close but doctor didn’t vanish….and charts didn’t just disappear. Really pathetic it all is."
"I had gone to this doctors office a few times with my newborn son. Dr. Abraham is nice but very quick during consultation. They do not have a nurse in the office. The receptionist is also the person who does the vitals and measures the babies weight/height. The first two visits were very quick and there were no other patients which made the process quick and stress free. The last time I had gone to the office I realized why there normally aren't that many people. During the visit there were multiple families waiting. Dr. Abraham was away and a female doctor was filling in for him (I wish I remembered her name). She was an older Russian Speaking doctor. There were a few obviously sick children with fevers in the small office. Nobody was wearing a mask and the doctor was not even wearing a doctor's coat. As soon as she was done with a patient that had a fever she came into our room where I waited with my infant. This caused me a lot of anxiety because in the chaos of it all I can't even say I saw that she washed her hands...so no mask, no doctors coat, no sanitizing. I wanted to leave and should have. She then proceeds to speak in a very condescending manner about being a good parent. She said that since I am breastfeeding if "I want to be a good mom I shouldn't drink any coffee or eat certain foods (she listed a huge list of foods to stay away from). She also told me to breastfeed from one breast at a time and give the other breast 6 hours to fill up...a lactation specialist and even google would never say to do that! That is only telling your body to lower your supply since it is not being used as frequent.Anyway, she then holds my baby which makes me feel very uncomfortable as she puts him close to her face and again no doctors coat....I ask for my son back. The whole experience was very unpleasant and I knew from that point I would never go back. Save yourself the time and nerves!! Close by Newkirk Plaza there is a much better pediatrician's office with actual nurses, clean rooms, and great doctors. After going to the doctors at Newkirk Plaza I realized just how unprofessional this place is."
"If I could give 0 stars I would I can’t believe this doctor actually has good reviews. My daughter almost died thanks to his malpractice! I’ve debated on writing a review but I decided to do so to possibly save someone’s child/family from experiencing the same thing. I’ve went to this doctor with both my daughters for years..This is a WARNING to all parents if your child is showing multiple signs something is wrong and Dr. Abraham continues to tell you it’s normal and fine get a second opinion don’t trust the white coat it means nothing! My daughter for over a year was losing weight, she had severely dry hands, she had constant headaches and she constantly drank water never feeling hydrated and used the bathroom to the point her teachers were complaining but he said it was all hormonal (soon she would be getting her period) and she had eczema put cream on her hands not to worry it was normal for her age. Nothing changed and cream never worked and I tried them all! Thank God he was closed one day she was feeling very sick and she looked really bad to the point my husband and I were very concerned. I ended up bringing her to the ER once I stepped foot in the ER they saw her and I told them everything I’ve been bringing her to Dr. Abraham for and telling him about and they said we’re testing her for DIABETES! I couldn’t believe it, her blood sugar level was over 600 she went straight to ICU and they told my husband she might not make it through the night. Of course as parents we don’t want to hear the worst but we want the truth no matter how hard it is to hear so we can deal with it. She was in the hospital for a week. The ER doctors apologized for a doctor they didn’t even know saying they couldn’t believe he didn’t check her the signs they said were clear as day. I thank God everyday he was closed because if I would’ve taken her to his office I know my daughter wouldn’t be here right now. He’s not a reliable doctor he either doesn’t know what he’s doing or he doesn’t care to look further and test for worse case when diagnosing children. Take your child elsewhere."
"He has taken care of both my kids and is so incredibly kind and compassionate. He is pretty conservative about prescribing medications which I love. Wouldn’t change to another pediatrician for anything ."
"Came to the office requesting the letter of a good health willing to pay money for services. I have been denied services. The doctor claimed, "we do not deal with patient." I assume they are dealing with monkeys or with some other animals. Thos doctor is not to be trusted."
