"Every place has a bad day. My order was taken for a customer pickup at terminal. Waited 1.5 hrs to get loaded. Apparently my ticket was pulled and held onto while others came and went. "Our experience with Old Dominion couldn't have been better: We were moving from south Florida to Charlotte, NC - but we hadn't found a place to live yet, so we had no destination address to give them. I didn't feel hopeful that they could accommodate such a request - especially without a lot of extra costs, but to my surprise, the person I spoke to told me exactly how to arrange having our belongings picked up and held in our destination city until we had an address to give them for the same cost as moving from Florida to a Charlotte address. Every aspect of our move went perfectly with OD: the trailer drop off in Florida, down to the trailer drop off at our new address in Charlotte. Also, it took us about a week to find our house, and there were no extra fees, as they had promised me. Also, every single person I spoke to from the company was great - not one complaint. Now this is not Old Dominion's fault, more like a lesson we learned while moving: we didn't do a very good job protecting our wooden furniture when we packed our trailer and there were quite a few dings and scuffs on them when we unloaded everything - just from everything moving around in the truck. If I could do it again, I would have been more careful about protecting our stuff. This has been a great company to deal with - I even used them when I moved to Florida in 2013. Can't recommend them enough!"
