"If you are seeking counseling for an eating disorder DO NOT COME HERE. I have never spoken to a medical about my restrictive ED of 15 years and I finally worked up the courage to discuss it with my therapist, Irene. Her response was "well you look fine" and she proceeded to give me diet tips and low calorie options for various meals for the entirety of my appointment. This was extremely harmful to me and upon discussing it with a coworker, I found out that the same therapist said the same things to her when she sought out treatment for her ED at age 14. Irene needs to better educate herself on how to treat clients with EDs or those clients need to just be booked with more informed counselors. That session was extremely damaging and it needs to be addressed before she harms someone else."
"No continuity of care. They change the therapist on you weather you like them or not, Lie as to why they did so. Reseptionist/scheduler is a thoughtless bully. AND what is with the Tarot like cards...are they gonna read my future?? RIDICULOUS!!!!"
"I just had the most negative experience with the office manager of this place that I have ever experienced with any medical practice. Be warned that if you are a new client and cancel your first appointment with less than 24 hours notice you are barred for being able to make another appointment for 6months. There was zero compassion or empathy for the fact that sometimes getting a person to come to therapy takes convincing. I was absolutely willing to pay a no show fee without question but to barr someone from making another appointment for 6 months when in a mental health setting is unconscionable."
"honestly, not worth your time, I've been essentially on a waitlist for 2 months to get a girl who wants me to paint my emotions out, and she doesn't consistently meet each week. also should add, they are seemingly heavily disorganized, all in all, waste of a month+ of a life UPDATE: coming back to review councilors who I thought sucked and I'm gonna give a hot take for those looking for help. Do not go here because any agency willing to debate EVERY comment criticizing them and challenge any challenge I guarantee you has problems. Bad business is bad business and I'm glad I only had one appointment with this place"
"This practice finally returned my call a week later, took my health insurance information, said they have availabilities and that they can definitely squeeze me in. They were not able to accomodate me before or after work nor during my lunch break from 12:00-1:00 and when I asked for an appointment throughout the day and I would just let my work know I had an appointment they flipped the script and said "Well....we have limited availabilities and I just don't feel like we can treat you here." I said "What does that mean? You were just ready to pencil me in and everything. Can you explain this?" And the woman says "We can't offer any help to you at this time." There was no intake, no explanation of what services I required, no discussion of my anxiety, etc. Just "We can't treat you." The two women I spoke to on the phone were incredibly rude and don't let you get a word in edgewise. They yell over you and steamroll you with aggression. I suppose they did me a favor because I am not trying to place my mental health in the hands of these incredibly incompetent providers."
