"Dr. Stromer was my doctor in 2017/2018 during my first pregnancy. I was referred to Dr.Stromer by a pregnancy center in the Bronx. Seeing that it was my first pregnancy, I was clueless about pregnancy and childbirth. I asked Dr. Stromer about childbirth education classes and he said that people only get childbirth education if there is a problem. Meaning that if a problem were to develop then I could be referred for education. I now know that that isn't the case. You can have childbirth education in a healthy pregnancy and childbirth education is recommended for all expecting people. I asked Dr. Stromer what kind of drinks I should eat and he said, I could drink anything. Of course that isn't the case. Water is the preferred beverage throughout pregnancy. Months later, nearing my estimated delivery date (EDD), Dr. Stromer shared a sad story with me. He said he delivered a 10 lb baby that later died whose mother had drunk soda throughout her pregnancy. While he said it, I thought to myself, “thank God I didn't take your advice to drink anything during my pregnancy and chose rather to drink water and not things like soda.” Throughout my pregnancy I made it clear to Dr. Stormer that I wanted to have a vaginal delivery. The week of my estimated delivery date, Dr.Stromer said that based on the sonogram, he believed my baby would be large; too large for a vaginal delivery. (Research shows sonograms are usually off by about 3 pounds.) My instinct told me my baby was the right size and everything was fine and I could have a vaginal delivery. I was very afraid of Dr. Stromer's report and the timing at which he gave his report. Therefore, I immediately had a consultation at another hospital. There, I was told that I was made to deliver the size of baby that I am going to have. I believed that and it resonated with me. I immediately had my medical records transferred to the other hospital. Once Dr.Stromer saw I requested my medical records to be transferred to that hospital, he called me and asked me to come in with any questions I might have. He convinced me that the hospital was not good and that he would give me the opportunity to deliver vaginally. On my EDD, Dr. Stromer did allow me to attempt vaginal delivery. He did not support me with positioning or provide any other education about how I could have a successful attempt at vaginal delivery. Eventually, I had an “emergency” C-section. Research confirms that a woman’s state of mind during labor and delivery matter. I was so frightened by the experience and I felt so manipulated and so powerless that I asked if I could leave the hospital while in labor. I was told I could not. Thank God and to his and his team’s credit, Dr. Stromer performed a successful C-section. I had no complications as a result of the C-section. However, the prenatal care I received while under Dr Stormer's care was poor and traumatic."

The day of my delivery when he showed up at the hospital he came telling jokes and really good energy. He made sure my birthing wishes were respected which was appreciated. He also called to check on my family monthly on schedule after my daughter was born. He is truly a gem."

"The Office is Welcoming and bright and clean. The staff are very nice people and very helpful. Dr. Stromer is very professional and knowledgeable in his field. Dr. Stromer makes his patients feel comfortable and at ease. He is very quick with appointments which means you don't wait long but he is thorough. He is also very attentive during my pregnancy and when it came time to give birth he was ready at one in the morning when I called, and met us at the hospital and made the birthing process a safe environment. I only have good things to say about Dr. Stromer and I recommend him to everyone."
