"Dr. Cummings is no doubt extremely knowledgeable. However, these days she seems be to overworked & unfortunately it is reflected during visits. She really is trying her best, I believe. I wish she’d perhaps take less patients on so she could be the more hands on physician she once was. On another note: Katie, Lakeisha & Christina are very helpful when calling the phones. I just want to make note of that as sometimes you call offices and are met with attitudes. Which they did NOT have. Imani needs more training, though. In fact, no man should be having to talk on the phone with women calling a GYNs office because they lack sympathy & understanding on women’s concerns."

"Nurse Trisha, shame shame shame! I begged for TWO weeks for her to get me a referral from Dr. Cummings for an ultrasound of the pelvis because I was deeply concerned of my extremely heavy periods. She treated me like a hypochondriac. After me being stern by week 2 about wanting this referral, she finally got the referral magically done that day… Lo and behold, I have a fibroid so large in my uterus that it in fact would have likely lead to a miscarriage had I not known. Nurse Trisha should not give her personal opinion on what a patient is requesting & just do her job. She blatantly told me she “doesn’t think” I need to the ultrasound. This is people’s health we are talking about. Not what she THINKS. I am livid beyond words that someone like her is the liaison between Dr. Cummings & her patients. Because I can’t imagine how many patients actually took Nurse Trisha’s lackadaisical advice & possibly could be suffering with unknown medical issues. Unfortunately because of this I am retiring myself as a patient to Dr. Cummings. I will be going to another hospital all together for my fibroid concerns & will be having a procedure done to remove a very specific fibroid. Ladies, make sure to always get your ultrasound if you feel it’s what your body needs. Because if you rely on Nurse Trisha’s word, you’re at risk for miscarrying. We are HUMAN BEINGS & our concerns deserve to be heard. I am devastated to even write this review because I think Dr. Cummings is honestly overworked & this is why there is no personal touch like there once was. "Went to Dr. Cummings in August 2023 for my third pregnancy after two pregnancy losses. I made sure to fill out the medical history questionnaire completely beforehand, but it turns out it didn't matter as Dr. Cummings had not reviewed my medical history before stepping into the exam room. She was unaware of my pregnancy history, unaware of my likely PCOS diagnosis, unaware of my family history of endometriosis, and unaware of the fact that we had been seeing a fertility specialist weekly for the previous four weeks leading up to our first appointment with her. The appointment time slot was for 15 minutes for our first appt, and we could tell - I kept going with my questions but Dr. Cummings made us feel rushed, like she had other things she needed to get going to. She did answer our questions well and provided actionable/medically reasoned responses that made us feel like she was a partner. Things went downhill after our 12 week ultrasound when we discovered another miscarriage had occurred. Dr. Cummings and her team did a terrible job communicating with me: our US appt was Friday morning and she called Friday late evening due to a personal matter which was fine, but she said she would follow up on Monday regarding a D&C appointment and never did (my body had not naturally miscarried the pregnancy). What did happen was that her office staff cancelled all of my future OB appointments in my portal, but no one reached out to me with any update re: my D&C let alone to check in on how I was doing mentally and physically. I continued to play phone tag with her office and her staff, messaging and calling them over 4x and did not receive an update from them until Wednesday on if they could fit in my D&C, with whom, and when. Dr. Cummings never reached out to me again (even though she said she would call me the Monday after) until I followed up with her office after my procedure was done by another doctor to file a formal complaint against her and her office staff. Additionally, I had requested thyroid testing at our first appt because my TSH levels were high earlier on in the pregnancy. Dr. Cummings 'confirmed' my thyroid levels were tested during my first appointment - I messaged her in the portal to confirm this. Upon following up to get the results, the nurse told me that the order was never put in and my thyroid levels were therefore never tested. I have never experienced such insensitive, unempathetic, and haphazard care. Speaking from my experience alone, Dr. Cummings is compliant with a broken women's health system founded in male qualities that minimizes patient-centered care for capitalistic metrics like number of patients seen, number of births, surgeries, etc. I came to Dr. Cummings because of her good reviews, but I will never go back and would not recommend her."

"Dr Cummings is an outstanding doctor. She is incredibly knowledgeable, has been very responsive to my questions, and has terrific bedside manner (personable, caring, empathetic). When my pregnancy got complicated within the last few weeks, she quickly developed a course of action that led to a successful outcome. Highly recommend her!"

"Dr. Cummings was my OB and I had a wonderful experience with the birth of my son at Mt. Sinai West. She was warm, caring and provided a lot of support throughout the pregnancy process. My birth experience with her was positive and I would definitely not hesitate to go back to her practice for future pregnancies (hopefully!)."
