"Dr. Macisaac's practice left me with a rare syndrome which can cause permanent infertility. I urge women to avoid this practice. I went in for a D&C post-miscarriage. They kept me waiting for 4 hours in a freezing cold room in a paper gown after I'd been fasting since 8pm the night before, including no water. They failed to give me the antibiotic I was supposed to take before the procedure, a fact my husband and I discovered only when we read the post-treatment instructions (that they did not walk us through) which indicated I should take "the second pill" (I'd never received the first one, we had to call and wait for a call back to be told I should take both at once, which surely isn't right). When I started crying during the endless wait, the male anesthesiologist told me to "smile," because I "have a pretty face." I was provided none of the reports after the procedure–a routine D&C! Yet it left me with a rare and difficult-to-cure syndrome! And when I called to ask Dr. MacIsaac to call me and walk me through the report, I was told I'd missed my window, too much time after my procedure had passed and she would not speak with me. To be fair, I never actually met Dr. Macisaac, so I don't even know if she performed the procedure, but the written report I eventually convinced her office to mail me said that she was there. I don't like leaving reviews this scathing (or deeply personal) on the internet, but I know that many women considering receiving treatment from Dr. Macisaac are going through a painful time, as I was, and I hope I can protect others from having the same experience I did."
