"I used to go to this doctor and OMG! the wait time was ridiculous! I liked her because she was thorough and always in a good mood so i stayed with her for a few years. If you have an appointment at 9am, you get there, say, 8:30am thinking that being early will help, You most likely wont be seen until 1pm (NO EXAGGERATION). I remember I went in one morning for an appointment, signed in, left, ran errands, came back and still had to wait at least an hour to be called. One thing i can say is that she helped me work on my patience lol. As i said, she was always thorough but i left finally left when she did 18 blood draws on me. 18!!!!!!! It took two days to get them all done!! she always did unnecessary tests just to bill my insurance. I finally had enough after i kept receiving hundreds of bills from my insurance company. i was tired of calling them and fighting with them so i had to leave. I've never looked back since."
"Dr. Lafontant is the best gynecologist, she took care of baby after I lost my first child through another health insurance. When I had my second child and third pregnancy she took good care of me, couldn’t ask for another doctor she is the best of the best. I don’t have any problem with the wait time but when you’re seen by her she gives good recommendations."
"This is the worst experience I have ever had. This office is very unprofessional. I went in for an appointment I scheduled online. I wish I would have read the reviews. As soon as I came in the front desk the receptionist (Hispanic I didn’t cat her name) started cursing saying how they were closed I expressed that I had an 11:30 appointment she spoke with the doctor. the Dr said she would see me. As I am filling out my paper work I was having an issue looking for my insurance card. All I kept on hearing was the receptionist saying f****ing this, I want to leave early, every time she received a phone call she kept was cursing prior to picking it up. I honestly felt bad for the other younger receptionist, the older one should be setting an example for someone younger in the field. The younger (African American) receptionist was much more professional Cordele and I really felt bad for her she had to put up with the type of unprofessionalism. I must say that after seeing the doctor come out trying to rush a patient and telling her that she should hurry up and give her what she had to give her because she had to leave I decided to take my paperwork and just leave. I myself work for a hospital and I would never treat my patients or anyone with that kind of disrespect. I was not asking for a donation or asking for a freebie I was paying with an insurance that I pay monthly for and that they get pretty good payments for the service rendered. I am glad I didn’t get any services because reading the previous reviews I won’t Want to put my Health in the hands of the so-called healthcare professionals."
"I never write negative reviews, but this office changed my mind. Dr Lafontant, in my experience, is unprofessional, rude, and generally condescending. She is rough during procedures and answers medical questions as curtly as possible, in essence not giving her patients enough information about their health. I have walked out of her office more confused than when I first walked in! When you can find better information about your health concerns on google than from a medical professional you are paying money to, you’ve got a problem. There was one instance where Dr Lafontant tried to convince me to make another appointment with her in a week to get a procedure done. I politely informed her “I don’t have the means to schedule another appointment so soon, but will make it within the month.” And she stared me straight in the face and said, “... you don’t have the means? You mean you can’t afford a 20 dollar copay to come here?” And she ROLLED HER EYES and walked away. I left feeling extremely embarrassed. I have never had a medical proffessional treat me in such a way. The front staff is mostly polite, aside from one lady who has dark hair and wears glasses. (Do not know, nor do I care to know, her name). I have always been polite (I’ve worked at a doctors office before and know how badly patients can treat their doctors and their staff, so I’m always as nice as I can be) but she has always been extremely rude and unprofessional to me. I have heard her gossip about patients before to other employees. There was one instance where I was sitting in the waiting room for 2 hours (expect a LOOOOONG wait here) and another woman had been waiting at the same time. After the 2 hours, she got up and politely told the front staff that she wanted to reschedule her appt for another day since she could not wait anymore. After she left, the rude receptionist started bad mouthing her and acting as though she’d been slapped in the face just because a patient had kindly asked to reschedule. Overall, my experience at this office has always been subpar. There are some kind employees, but it isn’t worth coming to a place where you are spoken to in such a condescending manner from both the receptionist and the doctor herself."
"Really deserves less than 1 star! She was my doctor a while back. The waiting in her office was unacceptable, one day I waited for more than 5 hours. Not to mention, that she would leave the office while patients were still waiting. Another time she told a nurse to perform an exam which I found out I didn't need after consulting with another doctor, and if needed it had to be done by the doctor. I could tell the nurse was uncomfortable doing this, it was painful and totally unnecessary. Left and never went back"
