"Called this place to see about my 6 year old being signed up. He told me I could stop by and talk to him about classes and pricing. I got there around 5:20. He told me to wait about 20 minutes and he would be done with his class. I waited a half hour. Nothing. Then, 45 minutes. I figured he was busy with some students or something, and I didn't want to be disrespectful and disturb the class so I waited an hour. Then I saw a few people walk out of the room and the door opened and me and him made eye contact. He saw me waiting out there. So now I know he didn't forget. So now I wait 20 minutes more. Almost an hour and a half. Somebody comes out and I asked where John was. They said he just started another class so I would have to wait again. I waited almost 2 hours until I just walked out. Not one person came out to talk to me. I would never have waited that long if it wasn't so important to me for my son. This is the closest place to my house so I figured this would be great. Before I left I wanted to give him the benefit of a doubt and call the phone. I called two or three times and no one answered. I got a phone call from them at around 8:30 at night and I ignored it. I'll be going to Tiger Schulmann's instead. Very unprofessional. Tiger Schulmann's was so much more helpful and had way more options for my son to take advantage of. They were also way more informative over the phone. This place wasted about 2 hours of my time, ignored my phone calls, made an appointment with me that they didn't keep, and then waited pretty much all night to call me back after telling me it was okay to come in and speak with them face to face. Definitely would never even consider talking to these people again let alone getting my son there. If you can't focus on someone you made an appointment with how are you focusing on an entire class of children? Thanks for nothing. I strongly suggest that anybody that's thinking of martial arts uses tiger Schulman's instead. They not only teach jiu jitsu, they teach three or four different styles more as well. And they know how to properly treat new people that are looking into their business. It would have been nice to go to this place and possibly support a mom-and-pop business. Extremely disappointing. Blessing in disguise though. If not for that I would not have found tiger schulmanns."
"I've trained a couple times here and Professor John is a wealth of knowledge. He's a gentleman and comes from a great BJJ lineage which offers his students great opportunity to learn from. The other students I trained with all shared the same goal and passion to train BJJ."
"RCJJ has been a fantastic experience for my two sons and me. I have been training under Professor John for almost two years now and the instruction is always top-notch. The differentiated instruction based on skill, age, athleticism, etc. gives every opportunity to evolve from complete beginners to more advanced players. This is a family operation I am proud to be part of and look forward to growing with this team for as long as humanly possible. John and Zully especially maintain a safe, clean environment and vibe. Feel free to book a free trial for your family to join the RCJJ family. Thank you RCJJ!!"
"Cleanliness stood out to me. Great training and extremely professional staff. I was nervous but everyone was really nice. It was my first time ever doing martial arts and one of the teachers took me to the side and showed me all the basics. Im excited for the next class! No better place for my jiu jitsu journey to start."
