"Gym equipment and facility are terrible at best. Super crowded. Lack of AC makes it feel like you’re working out on the sun even in the middle of winter. Then there are these hilarious looking signs saying please don’t open the window since clearly people are doing so since there’s a tangible benefit (aka air flow that can be felt). Real shame really"

"What's good: facility is well-maintained. love the clean shower room . don't see any sign of stains or molds. The dry sauna is amazing. What's not so good: although they have the largest pool in the city, most lanes are reserved for classes for the most of time. You can't really tell when you should go to avoid the classes from the schedule that posted online. I rarely find an available lane every time I go."

"High end nonprofit gym great for all experience levels. Multiple classes available along with an Olympic sized pool."

"This facility is in need of desperate work. The pool is quite old and the pool heating frequently breaks. As a result the water is freezing all of the time. They won't raise the temperature and it's likely because the infrastructure is too old to handle it."

"The pool, the pool, the pool. Like Goldilocks, I have tried other pools. The Dodge Y, the Chinatown Y, Chelsea Piers, pools in my apartment building. To quote the late Sinead O'Connor, nothing compares. I trained for two triathlons here, so know the bottom of this pool intimately. And the pool is always clean, perfectly maintained, and a joy! It's Olympic-sized. What I like is that there's typically not a lot of crowding in the lap lanes, so you don't run into the (common) issue of other swimmers tickling your toes or slowing your rhythm. Swimming at Asphalt Green is a mermaid's dream."
