Reviews of Plaza del Sol Family Health Center
"So, I was looking to switch PCPs to this location. Much Like everyone else has commented, Be prepared that this is a very busy place- So appointments are not soon. They require you to register in person and are only open during regular business hours. This means having to take time off work to register/ fill out paperwork (not to see a doctor). Most Doctors offices will schedule an appointment for you and you just arrive early to the appointment to fill out the paperwork. So, having to take time from work just to fill out paperwork that could be done before an appointment that is already scheduled is really inconvenient. The earliest appointment after my registration was about a month out. I had issues I needed to see a physician for before that time-- so I had to switch to a different PCP at another medical group. This review is not a negative review towards the medical center or their doctors. But, just letting those who are looking to see a doctor sooner rather than later, that this might not be the place for you."
"Called in May and scheduled an appointment forJune for my elderly mother to see Marlene Aquino. We arrive on time on the day of the appointment and as I am checking my mother in the receptionist looked a bit embarrassed as she told me that Aquino no longer practiced at this location and that we would have to wait an hour to be seen by the next available doctor. I asked her why hadn't anyone bothered to notify me of this the day before when they sent the confirmation email for the appointment. She said she didn't know. First appointment and it already has left a bad taste in my mouth. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate! I travelled 2 hours to my mother's house to bring her to this appointment. Don't see this ending well since it started so bad. Will update this review once my mother is seen. UPDATE: So we waited the extra hour and much to our surprise my mother was seen 10 minutes later. Martha Lucero, Family Nurse Practitioner, visited with my mother and I have to say that my mother was very comfortable with her. Martha was very attentive and professional with her. As a matter of fact everyone we dealt with at the office was. We may give this clinic another chance since it seems the lack of communication regarding the original doctor not practicing there any longer was the fault of the scheduling office. So we shall see."
"This place slowly gets worse and worse. I came here since it’s opened and I’ve been waiting for almost 3 hours for some simple medical form for school. I thought this would have been a simple visit: we come in, give in the form, wait 20-30 minutes and get the forms back. Unfortunately I was wrong. Me and many other patients have been waiting longer than we have expected. This place tests my patience every time I come here. Get something done."
"I had an 10:30am appointment for my child, and i wasn’t called till 12:40pm. When i asked the receptionist what was going on she was extremely rude to me and continued speaking to me in Spanish even after i told her i don’t speak Spanish. She finally spoke to me in English and said i was next to see the doctor. I am confused on why even with an appointment you are still waiting 2 hours. Doctors and the people helping seemed to be very rushed in things. I would not recommend this place because there is always a new issue. One time i called to make an appointment and the person told me there was no available appointments for 2 months i said how is that possible this is my child’s PCP , how can a primary care provider not have the availability to see the patient after the last appointment being 1 year ago. Very in disappointing, this place definitely takes on more than it can carry, it’s more of a clinic than a regular doctors office i don’t feel like they care about the patients it’s not a personal experience i would never recommend this place to anyone. I will not be taking my child here anymore:"
"If I can give less than a star I would. The level of unprofessionalism of the staff is ridiculous. You call to make an appointment (which they tell you that it’s not necessary), then as you do a walk in the person at the lobby is telling you that it’s only by appointment. How about the staff communicate better what the protocols are. Instead they give misguided information. The staff member today at the lobby was extremely rude. Sorry but the doctors work on years towards their degrees and know each of their patients history. If there is a reason why my kid needs an appointment or do a walk in it’s because it’s urgent. Just because your a medical assistant this does not give you a say as to what’s urgent and what’s not."
