"I have only been coming here for a short time, but this is one of the worst offices I've ever visited. Not only is it almost impossible to make an appointment when sick, getting offered dates almost a month away, but often times will be told to just go to the ER instead. Further, when you do make it to the office and need to follow up on test results, the doctors do not call you back with them. I will then follow up on my own and after calling back two or three times will be told that there is no record of my request ever being there to speak with a doctor. My most recent experience I was told it was my responsiblity to get the name of the person I spoke with so when I have to call back I can "let the front desk know who I spoke with so they can know who didn't do their job." This office is a disgrace and I genuinely do not know how they have any decent reviews. I finally received a call back from the doctor about my issues and on the phone she could be heard chuckling when discussing why one route was taken versus another in my care. Additionally, did not address any of the concerns of how my care was handled and continued to speak over me. Her response "well you're speaking over me now" when I wasn't done voicing my complaint. I was told an office manager would call me and was promptly hung up on."
"Nurses and facilities are fine, doctors at this office can be a toss-up but usually fine, however I never have a good experience with the front desk receptionists. They are usually unpleasant and rude. Normally I wouldn’t complain about this if it were a one-off thing, but over the past several years I’ve had multiple instances where various front desk personnel were condescending and unkind. I think New York Presbyterian needs to do a total overhaul on training their staff on good customer service, if they even have that training at all."
"Worst place to go. When my girlfriend and I asked to have a follow up call to talk about blood work, they never called. They said they will and it has been 4 months for her and 2 months for me. The fact that anytime I told my doctor about any issue all she said "rub aloe vera on it" should be alarming. All the diagnosis she gave me is from what I told her. Basically copy pasted on the report. Dnt go here."
"Very bad service. I have never met a person who is as arrogant, misleading and presumptuous as nurse Monica Toniuk. I thought medical field workers are not suppose to judge and give best quality of service regardless of your race, ethnicity or cultural beliefs. I'm never going back to this clinic again specially because of this nurse. You may be familiar with the saying "One bad fruit can spoil the bunch" and thats exactly whats happening here. Very bad experience over all, I did not expect this kind of service in Whitestone. I think nurses at Public health clinic will give better service than her."
"I had a great experience with Dr Chang and each and every member of her staff. When I had an issue with my insurance moments before my appointment time, they were kind and courteous. When I needed blood drawn, the assistant was patient and caring, and with a smile. Dr. Chang is unlike most doctors. She is caring and attentive. She thinks outside of the box and isn't dismissive of minor concerns. When I called a few weeks later complaining of my seasonal allergies, she put in a prescription for Flonase for me without needing me to come in for an unnecessary appointment. Can't recommend them more !"
