"I have been a patient at this office for many years, my old OBGYN left the practice about 5 years back, but the location was convenient so I decided to stay with whoever was taking over. I met the NP thinking that she was the actual OBGYN & had been seeing her for years without actually meeting my doctor. After multiple years of at least 2 times a year visiting the office, she would continuously ask me if I was in a relationship, while I had been married the entire time. You would think she would check the chart or remember something about a long time patient but no! You’re uncomfortable as it is at the OBGYN, at least pretend to be personable. It turned me off Everytime but it wasn’t bothersome enough to go through the headache of switching practices. Just recently I dealt with a very large ovarian cyst that was quite painful. After FINALLY meeting the actual OBGYN, she was rude and cold to my situation. She told me that we could either wait and see if the cyst cuts blood supply to my ovary & remove my ovary , or remove the cyst and possibly lose my ovary- mind you I am a 27 year old woman. With no kids yet. This was a scary thing to hear!!! She wasn’t personable or comforting whatsoever. She then told me to call my other doctors office for an ultrasound since they didn’t have time for me- right after she told me that this would be an urgent procedure to have it removed if I decided that treatment. Waiting for my results the following day ( a Friday before a long weekend) I decide to call around 2pm since I hadn’t heard from them and she made it seem rather urgent. Turns out the office is closed for the long holiday weekend and they failed to call me with my results . This is absolutely unacceptable and horrible patient care. I am never returning to the office."

"I saw Women's Wellness Associates for my first pregnancy and a little of my current second one. I moved and had to switch OB's. I loved my experience here! Professional and friendly. Dr.Novotny and her staff did a really good job in taking care of pregnancies but it is a shame they are going to be stopping doing Obstetrics. :("

"I don’t leave many reviews but I feel like I should share my experience to prevent another woman from going through something similar here. I was a patient here for my first pregnancy, which I ended up losing at 8 weeks. I know that nobody could have prevented the miscarriage but I believe how it was handled by this practice made it more traumatic for me. Things didn’t look right at my first ultrasound, baby wasn’t measuring right, but since I had no symptoms of miscarriage they scheduled a follow up ultrasound (at a different office because their technician was on vacation) and it was at this one we were able to hear my baby’s heartbeat. My husband and I were so relieved at my follow up appointment a few days later with Dr. Novotny who came into the room and said “you did it, kid” things really weren’t looking good but I just wasn’t as far along as they originally thought. I was given a new due date and felt like I could breathe for the first time during my pregnancy. 10 days (I’ll never understand why it took this long) after that follow up I received a call from them saying that Dr. N didn’t have the entire report from my ultrasound (why were we even discussing it then?) and the baby’s heartbeat was slower than they would have liked so I needed to come in for yet another ultrasound. I was devastated and it was at this third ultrasound that I found out my baby no longer had a heartbeat and I was having a miscarriage. On top of all of this, it’s impossible to get on the phone with someone here. I had multiple blood tests throughout this horrible experience and days where I was a nervous wreck just desperately waiting to talk to someone about results. You also will wait for Dr. N in the exam room for a very, very long time (even after you find out you’re having a miscarriage). The way women’s wellness handled everything was unprofessional and insensitive and I would never recommend them to anyone."

"Dr Novotny has delivered 5 of my 6 children. She is amazing. When she comes into the room, she treats me like I am her only patient of the day. Never in a hurry. not pushy, she is kind, caring and sensitive. Doesn't sugar-coat things, but always is truthful and honest. Love her so much, and will always recommend her."

"I’ve been a patient here for 7 years. In that time I have found the staff and Dr. Novatni to be very condescending and felt as if they never seemed to take my concerns seriously. While seeing the doctor I was lucky if I would be seen for 5 minutes or more. In addition, I’ve tried to fill a birth control prescription for 2 weeks now, they told me they submitted the refill over a week ago, which they did not, then they told me when I called today that I would need to be seen before they would put refills in. I was literally there last month for a yeast infection and was put out $300 for tests and my copay (I have insurance! A yeast infection put me out $300!!!!!!!!) - but also when I called earlier this week I was told that they submitted the refill and they blamed the pharmacy, which clearly was a lie and the pharmacy confirmed they never received the authorization. While trying to explain this to the staff I was hung up on. (I’m 23 years old so paying $300 for an appointment / testing then having my prescription refill be denied until I make another appointment for the sake of an annual is ridiculous, give me some time to recoup! It’s just birth control, come on!) This is the type of doctor you see for your entire life, but I personally have never felt that this office cared for my wellbeing and was more focused on their pocketbooks."
