"This school is absolutely awesome! My child commutes from Queens to Hell’s Kitchen for 90 min each way and it is well worth it! There’s a great sense of community, partnership and advancement at UAG! The guidance counselors Go above and beyond for the students in helping them manage their classes and keeping Parents well informed. And there are lots of opportunities for the students to Get extra help with each subject or extra credit if necessary. The trips and clubs also make the school fun and exciting! What’s amazing is how the incoming freshmen attend overnight camp before school starts to get acquainted with school staff and make new friends! The advancement/enrichment/job/internship opportunities are well linked here so the school itself also goes above and beyond for each student. The principal always makes time and get back to you on everything...That’s the benefit of a smaller school!"
