"Care has been fine, billing is a disaster. I got a $300 bill for labs during an annual checkup which should be covered if coded correctly. UNC health handles billing and is no help, I am moving over to Advent for all my care needs moving forward."

"I gave one star but this just applies to whoever handles patient portal messages and is in no way reflective of Dr Crocker or his nurse, Dominique. I think the world of Dr Crocker and Dominique. I am so thankful for their care. Dr Crocker has his hands full with me as I have several medical conditions that make me a challenge for him to say the least. I'm giving one star because of the way the patient portal is handled at the practice. Whoever handles reviewing and passing messages on to Dr Crocker is very slack. I can't count the number of times I've sent him updates or had to ask Dr Crocker advice on an issue and the message takes forever to be opened, reviewed and passed on to him. The person who's duty it is to handle the portal needs replacing. I use MyChart for four different clinics and Pardee Internal Medicine is the only one I have problems with. The others open, send to my doctor and I get a reply whithin the same day. Sometimes whithin a couple of hours. I'm wondering if I am the only one with this experience."

"My review only counts for Crocker, who I think does a fine job. I don't know this Dr. Douglass character that everyone else is reviewing. Dr Crockers assistant is cool too. However yes, the lady who works the front desk can be very snarky."

"I am writing this review to confirm everything else that is being sad about Dr. Douglass in these reviews---uncaring, dismissive, and rude. Sure, she did not want to prescribe me certain medications for my insomnia. I get that, whatever. But her tone was all wrong. She did not show any sympathy for my situation. Walked out of the room without so much as a goodbye or I hope you get the attention you need. The whole time she just seemed not to care at all except to harangue me about things I should have done but didn't do. She spoke in a matter of fact tone the entire time and showed little compassion. I was already hesitant about going back to her because even before when I went to her about other things she just seemed so not present. My wife said the same thing after visiting with her. I don't know what's up with her but her demeanor doesn't seemed to based on just having a bad day here and there. Everybody has those. It seems a perennial issue that she lacks the ability to speak and compose herself in a way that others feel like they are genuinely heard. Will never go back there again."
