"I had Plaza Appliance come out to fix an issue with a frost build up issue on my Whirlpool fridge and replaced the thermistor. While repairing this part, which took hours the interior light and the ice maker in the door stopped working. The tech tried to repair, but gave up and didn’t feel comfortable or knowledgeable to repair. The company did refund my money for the original repair, but created another problem, refuses to repair or compensate to get someone to repair. I was quoted $350-$500, and could be more if they have to disassemble to check what was previously taken apart to fix the issue created by the Plaza Appliance tech. The tech after having the fridge apart said he has never worked on this and that I needed to call someone who works on Whirlpool fridges. The tech was upfront and honest and tried his best. I called the service manager and he was extremely rude and not willing to help in any way. I would never buy or use Plaza Appliance and run the other way. So far Advanced major appliance Repair has been great and very helpful."
