"Went here for the RINK presented by UNC and Red Hat. They sell alcoholic beverages here, spike hot cocoa etc but it’s a little on the pricey side- Baileys Hot Chocolate was 17 dollars for a 12 oz cup. There were some food trucks, and the seating area was nice to sit in. The skates they offer are dull and not the best but that’s to be expected for a public event. Overall fun for date night/ night out w family and kids."
"This is a great concert venue and is very easy to get to, made even better by the parking garage that is basically right next to it. The seats are generally sizeable enough to enjoy your time and the lawn is comfortable as well! My only criticism of Red Hat are the lack of a cover over the seats and the difficulty I have had in finding my seats, as the sections are not labeled particularly clearly. However, the event staff are always quite helpful and make the experience better!"
"*Disabled reviewer* I love this venue, I've been here to see a show probably 40 times. This experience last week was better than most as they allowed the front row to stand at the barricade! Even though they were short staffed they still made sure I was set. They pulled out the chair so my wheelchair could go in. You can stand & dance at your seat but they're pretty strict about the areas around the sections. So you can't be polite to the people behind you if they don't want to stand. Lol Be careful when choosing tickets because the stage is much smaller than most outside amphitheaters. Also the seating is not typical. On the left side(facing stage) all seats can see the stage well, but the right side extends too far to the right so you can't see as well. There is a great VIP area in the left middle section but the ADA sections are at the back of the middle section. I've never sat there but it's not bad. I've definitely seen worse but when buying tickets it says there are none available. It's more complicated than it should be. Don't forget to look behind at the incredible big oak art installation as it shimmers & changes colors as the sun goes down!"
"Venue good for music of you can get cheap seats. Saw Lindsey Stirling (amazing). The sounds of the instruments are good, but the singing quality though the tech is bad. Understanding talking through the mic was fine. Would suggest more sloped seating because any walking and movement gets distracting, and there is a lot of this during the concert. People all are constant moving seats for a better view, also frustrating. Therefore, I'd recommend straight on seating because the sides get a bit cut off. Weird that it was built next to the Amtrak railway, so that interrupted the concert for 2 minutes. Easy to find parking downtown for free after hours. Entry wait lines are short. Didn't use the bathroom so can't comment, but there we're about 3 trailers for that. Plenty of food and drink stand, including a small sit down bar. Drinks $15."
"I do like this venue. The parking is pretty straightforward and relatively cheap for being in a downtown. The staff is very friendly and getting through security was surprisingly easy. Honestly, when compared to experiences at places that are supposed to be better at hospitality, Red Hat is better. I have been to a lot of venues and this one was the easiest of its size to navigate. We purchased our tickets late, so we were a little further back and the site lines were still pretty good. Sound was excellent."
