"Some of the best customer service I've encountered. Steve was awesome and patient handling all my questions and helped come up with creative solutions for what I was trying to do with my living room setup and aesthetic. Will absolutely be back for any audio purchases."
"I ordered a pair of higher end tower speakers and the whole process has been great. Through no fault of the store one of the speakers was damaged in transit and the Audio Advice support team handled everything quickly and professionally. I will absolutely do business with them again for my future home theater needs."
"I have been a customer of Audio Advice for more than 10 years. I have always worked with Ivan Halbach in the Raleigh store. He has been outstanding in his support and knowledge always considering my interest, needs and budget. I have never been disappointed in the resulting products. The support services provided by the company has also been excellent. The delivery and set up technicians are always on time and complete the projects in very professional manner. Nothing but praise for Ivan and his coworkers."
"I do not like writing negative reviews, but feel like I have no choice but to do so. I have spent a fair amount of money at Audio Advice over the past two decades on audio and video equipment, and their knowledge and selection of high-end equipment is top notch. However, their customer service has apparently declined to the extent that once they have your money, they do not care about providing promised follow-up to ensure a high-quality user experience. I purchased an integrated amplifier that turned out to be a lemon (not Audio Advice's fault). After it died three times over the course of 14 months, they worked with me to upgrade to a higher-end model. Upon installation, I realized that I needed to modify my AV cabinet to accommodate the larger amplifier and asked for a quote for the parts. I also noticed that, when using the amplifier in conjunction with my AV receiver, the sounds was not properly calibrated (center channel dialogue drowned out). The sales person promised in July 2023 to send the quote for the AV cabinet changes. After following up a few weeks ago, he promised to send it "as soon as we hung up the phone." I still haven't received the quote or a follow-up about scheduling a visit to deal with the calibration issue. My calls, emails, and texts to the salesperson, service department, and manager have not gotten any responses. So although they carry great equipment and have very knowledgeable staff, you appear to be on your own once they have your money. The philosophy statement on their website reads, "For the past 40 years, Audio Advice has built our reputation on deep expertise, a love and appreciation of music, and unwavering dedication to our customers." My recent experience is that the "unwavering dedication to our customers" part is a thing of the past."
"I ordered some Polk Audio speakers on a great deal from Audio Advice based off of the great reviews and Erin's Audio Corner advice. When they came in though one tower and the center channel tweeters both weren't working. Generally you don't have 2 out of 3 speakers having the same issue. I tested the tower speaker and the tweeter was definitely fried but I think it the center channel tweeter was not connected to the internal crossover at all. I emailed Audio Advice about my issues and was helped by Marty. Once I completed some checks to make sure the speakers weren't working properly they drop shipped new ones to me. Shipping was quick and I was able to complete my home theater project still considerably quick. The measure of a company's customer service isn't when everything is working properly but how they react when something bad happens. In this case I'd say the customer service was top notch and I can see why Erin recommends them. I'm not completely done with this home theater project (are we ever completely done) and I will definitely consider them for my next piece. Thank you Audio Advice and Marty!"
