About the Louise “Scottie” Stephenson Amphitheatre
The Louise “Scottie” Stephenson Amphitheatre, located at 301 Pogue Street in Raleigh, North Carolina, is an outdoor performance venue utilized by Raleigh Little Theatre to safely welcome back audiences for a mix of family and adult programming and special events. After almost a year of limited operations due to COVID-19, the theatre is excited to announce its plans for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.
The upcoming shows at the Amphitheatre include an imaginative retelling of Snow White, a concert performance of The Last Five Years in partnership with the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, the annual fundraising event Divas! Under the Stars, and a production of The Mountaintop, a fictional depiction of Martin Luther King Jr.'s last night on earth.
With only two roles in each production, the theatre aims to keep actors and audiences safe during the ongoing pandemic. The Amphitheatre provides a beautiful backdrop for these shows and allows for additional safety measures to be implemented.
Tickets for Snow White are currently available for purchase, with tickets for the remaining productions to be announced at a later date. The staff and volunteers at Raleigh Little Theatre are excited to welcome the community back to enjoy these bold and engaging stories in 2021.
