"My tooth bled excessively during the procedure. . The dentist worked on another patient while he was in my mouth. He fractured the root of the tooth next to the one he was working on. BEWARE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!"

"I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed. I went in for a simple cleaning and the woman chipped off the protective glue on the outside of my permanent retainer (most likely mistaking it for plaque) and in the process loosened it. I immediately felt the metal wire sticking my gums and could move the retainer up and down with my tongue (meaning it needs to be tightened). She refused to fix it for me and said it was like that when I came in, which is NOT the case. I wouldnt be able to just live my life if that was the case as it was extremely uncomfortable and I noticed it right away. I had to go somewhere else to have it fixed for $135."

Shapiro, if you're reading this *BUCKLE YOUR SEAT BELT, THIS WILL BE A BUMPY RIDE* 1) Your receptionist Margarite has a MAJOR MAJOR ATTITUDE PROBLEM. When I expect her to provide details about how much I owe, the estimated number of visits, or any other business that is related to your practice I GET TREATED LIKE EITHER SHE IS DOING ME A FAVOR OR LIKE I DID SOMETHING WRONG! 2) Your dental assistant also has an attitude problem and is very snippy and arrogant. 3) Dr. Shapiro himself seems like a decent man. 4) Your practice seems to have a difficult time or reluctance to be transparent about how much I owe and likes to keep people in the dark about money from beginning, middle and up until the end.. However after he has finished a majority of my teeth, there was an estimate over $3000 to finish the work. I WAS FURIOUS THAT THEY KEPT THIS FROM ME!!! *I TOOK THE REMAINING WORK TO A MORE ETHICAL AND LESS SLEAZY PRACTICE."

"I had a Porcelain crown placed after a root canal for my first cavity about 1 year and 6 months ago. The porcelain crown was supposed to last 4-5 years according to my insurance company, about a week ago my crown cracked, my gum bled and I experienced a significant amount of pain. My insurance changed from a PPO to a HMO, and Dr. Shapiro and his staff turned me away and will not fix my crown. This is the worst experience I have ever had. STAY AWAY."
