"Nick is the best old school barber. Nothing fancy, just a good haircut and usually a nice conversation. I would say he is an institution in the Hells Kitchen area. I have lived in NYC all my life and I been going to Nick's for around 20 years. I really don't review anything but for Nick I give 5 stars."
"Nick is a great barber highly experienced. I’ve been going to him every three weeks for the last year. I really like the consistency of my beard trims."
"Nick by far has been around forever. No one better and does a supered job!!! Amazing pricing, he's gifted. All the best Nick"
"Nick gave me the perfect haircut I asked for, along with a very good beard shave! Furthermore the cost is absolutely correct and he is very kind and funny. Absolutely recommended!"
"Terrible haircut. Embarrassed to even go outside. Don't go here. Throwing your money in the garbage is better value than coming here because at least then you won't also have a bad haircut. This is by far the WORST haircut I've ever received in my life. Even though I explicitly told him to put my part in a certain place, he 1) missed and moved it down by a half inch 2) made it far, far too wide, and 3) added a weird bend near the front of my head. When I told him that he put my part in the wrong place, he got angry and told me that I should've clarified where I want my part, which I did at the very beginning of the haircut. He tried to tell me I didn't tell him. Yes, I did tell him. I showed him exactly where I wanted the part (where my hair naturally parts) and he ignored it, then tried to blame me for not stopping me. Nick, you're the barber, I shouldn't be stopping you from doing anything. It's also the most obvious place to put the part and you failed at that task. The rest of the haircut was also extremely uneven. When viewed from the front, there's literal TERRACES of different hair lengths. I asked for a simple fade and got a hack job. He also tried to say "I've been cutting hair for 60 years and your hair is very difficult to cut." What's the use in your literal decades of experience if you can't cut a basic head of hair? Thanks, after hearing that I feel better about my terrible haircut."
