"This was my first time getting my brows threaded - overall it was a good experience. I went in on a Sunday (would recommend making an appointment, even if it’s not busy, cause they prioritize appointment holders) and was in and out in 10 minutes. They were quick and effective and did a good job. When I got home and looked more closely in the mirror, they missed a few hairs but I cleaned those up myself. Would come back."
"Saru did an amazing job! My eyebrows have never looked better and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Thread in Murray Hill!!:)"
"The place was really nice, BUT. However the lady that did my brows yesterday was unprofessional. She insisted that I give her a 20% tip which is not at all required. Although I did tip, she was not happy with the tip I gave her and told me that customers typically give a 20% tip Lost a customer that would come once a week for threading because the lady was too greedy and worried asking for more "tips". I really liked this place and it's location but couldn't deal with the lady. Might just try the other location."
"I’m a fool for believing all of the rave reviews here. I went to get my eyebrows done and asked for the person doing them to clean them up and give them back the arched shape they usually have. She did a pretty light cleanup and when I saw them I asked her to take off just one line from the top. She then proceeded to take a ton off from the bottom and when I looked at them, realized she had left me with essentially slivers in comparison to my naturally thick eyebrows. I’m obviously frustrated but have her do the other one as well. She does but leaves it considerably thicker than the first. I tell her to even them out, she claims they are even but proceeds to remove some hair anyway (from the wrong area). I’m now left with 2001 style eyebrows and to make matters worse, the shapes are different and they’re not level on my face. I don’t know if it’s just the person that was doing mine that wasn’t good or what but I seriously regret going to this salon. Edit: clearly the salon won’t take responsibility for completely destroying my eyebrows. I asked for one line removed from the top which is regularly do at every other threading salon and it always looks fine. I never instructed her to remove half my eyebrow’s thickness from the bottom. And leaving the absurd thinness aside, we’re still left with the fact that my two eyebrows are completely different thicknesses, shapes, and levels on my face. I don’t particularly care how long she’s been doing this job. She messed up. Take ownership of your mistakes."
"saru did my eyebrows and i couldn’t recommend her highly enough! she has the touch of a feather and did an excellent job. i haven’t gotten my brows done in 2 years because they are very thick and i don’t like people messing with them. came back because they’ve been uneven and i wanted to get them cleaned up and i got exactly what i asked for. will definitely be returning!"
