"Had to go to NJ for this, but I’ve finally got haircut. The Republic Hair Studio is officially open and back in business. Since NYC can’t seem to give specifics on their phase 2 reopening and seeing on the news that NJ barbershops are slated to open Monday, June 22, I decided to see if NJ has a Dominican barbershop and I found this place. The phone number is not working but they are on Instagram (@TheRepublicHairStudio). Since I’ve haven’t had a haircut in 4 months and I could not wait any longer, I took a risk in going there hoping they will be open Monday as their Instagram page stated. And not only were they opened, but a barber was immediately available. Waldo did a fantastic job. It’s wonderful that haircuts are not just limited to elected officials anymore (and this sarcastic remark is not just directed to the mayor of Chicago either), but seriously, if NYC barbershops still aren’t fully open when its time for me to get a haircut, I will return to NJ to get my haircut at The Republic Hair Studio."
