"Expect to pay an expert level premium for at best amateur craftsmanship. Be prepared to be 100% explicit about your expectations up front, because we were never provided with a mock-up or design to approve. We cancelled the other half of our project because we were unsatisfied with how the first railing turned out. We were initially told that we would still have to pay over 70% ($948) of the quoted price ($1292) for half the work, done poorly at that. When asked to remedy the situation, Ace responded over a week later that in order to redo the railing, we would have to pay for another full day’s worth of labor. We ended up paying $643 for one railing after several days worth of negotiation. Would not recommend, especially not for any aging in place services. I’m just thankful I was able to advocate on my grandmother’s behalf because I could easily see other seniors being taken advantage of."
