"This is a very late entry from 2009. This man, this doctor, condescended, patronized, and insulted me at my lowest. Thankfully, in 2010, I was prescribed the correct medication and have made leaps and bounds of progress since. He should be ashamed of himself."
"UPDATE (10/2020) In Feb. 2019, Since we weren't changing medication month-to-month for my adolescent and our previous psychiatrist would write prescriptions for three months at a time. I also think once you have a medication established, going month-to-month is too much, not to mention costly at a $40 per visit copay. I asked Dr. Weinrach if he could prescribe for three months at a time. He said the pediatrician could do this for us and we could come back when a change was needed. Fast forward to October 2020, we needed to start seeing him again and I was told that since it had been two years since the last appointment, we would now be considered a new patient, and he is not taking new patients. I confirmed the last time we were there was Feb. 2019, 19 months ago. Sure that is splitting hairs, but you know how hard it is to find a mental health provider. What a kick in the gut. The two names they gave me had really, really bad reviews, so we won't be taking their reviews. I hesitate to change the star rating (gave 5 stars before) because he really does know medications, but it seems a little disloyal and I felt the way I was told could have been done with more concern and empathy for our situation. Saved our lives. We had been through a psychiatrist on Fort Bragg, a NP under a psychiatrist, and endless trauma and drama in our lives trying to find the right medication. Dr. Weinrach LISTENS to parents. He is reasonable, practical, and brilliant. He found non-stimulant medications that worked. I believe he stays updated on the science, research, and medications. Our lives improved dramatically once the right medications were found."
"I think this man is going to be my saving grace! I have suffered with terrible anxiety for the past two years, but it’s been an ongoing issue for much longer than that; that is just when it got the worst. He is patient, he listens and asks you what you think before just sending you off. I mentioned that my anxiety worsens when my son isn’t with me, he told me that I could have brought him and not to worry next time, to just bring him. That meant so much to me! I highly recommend this doctor."
"Yanked my fiance off all of her meds cold turkey and said he couldn't help her. Very short and rude and non caring. What kind of psych yanks a person off meds he knows has side effects when stopped cold turkey. When a doctor says he dosent know how to help you it means he can't do his job. Now guess who watches her go through withdrawals? Not him. Nothing more than a prescription pusher. 5 minute session and out. If the meds he prescribes don't work then he acts like it's your fault and he can't help. Never trust a man who will yank you off meds cold turkey with no regards for side effects or withdrawals it might cause."
"I retired from the Army after 21 years in service. I have fought in the Gulf War, Afghanistan War and the Iraq War. I have been seeing different Military Doctors since 1991. It is in my opinion that at of all the Doctor's that I have attempted to treat my illnesses, that Dr. Weinrauch is one of the best. He really listens to my mental problems and talks me through the best way to solve my problems. He is down to earth and easy to talk to. I see him every two months and he always remembers what my issue's are. His staffs are courteous and always seem to fit me into their schedule for appointments based off of my tight work schedule."
