"A pleasant surprise. It is a small place, there was only one server but still the service was fast, the food was delicious and the price was good."
"Absolutely loved the atmosphere, from the decorations to food. Everything was perfect. The beef noodle soup was exactly what I was craving and then some. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for quality and authenticity while still being on a budget."
"It was okay. The Ma Pau tofu was thick and slightly jelly-like with a flavour that tasted more like... Ketchup, I think... Than the proper sauce. The pan fried dumplings were delicious! The service was just fine. I came in 30 minutes before they closed and they accommodated me."
"If you don’t want to go to Chinatown, this is the place to hit near Penn Station for a quick “Shanghai” fix. I ordered a shredded pork soup noodles, it was probably the highlight of my dinner. Having said that, the shredded pork was too chunky still IMO. S&S Ribs were not hot and crunchy, clearly it was made ahead of time but the flavor was good. Drunken Chicken wasn’t drunk enough, lots of room for improvement. The space is small and narrow, I think they did a good job making it cosy. The kitchen in the back is tiny and you can see the “chef” scrolling on his phone and taking calls when he didn’t have any orders. This is a big no if you work in the kitchen. Do you know how much germs are on our cell phones? Service was fine, the waitress did the basics. I’ll go to K-town next time if I want Asian food in the hood."
"Not bad for a casual Chinese food meal. The duck (cold appetizer) was the highlight, very well made. The soup dumplings were yummy but all broke since they were cooked without separation. The shengjiangbao was basically soup dumplings pan fried, where it is usually more like buns. Overall good for a quick meal but not to invite your Chinese parents for dinner."
