"I respect that fact that Dr. Farrell seems to exercise care in how she approaches new clients, but an office that denies service to trans women on the basis of them having transitioned does not deserve to be categorized as an “lgbtq friendly,” “transgender safespace.” I hope that they have these labels removed soon so as to not waste the time of others."

"Dr. Farrell has been with me through thick and thin over the past 5 years, and I can’t think of another doctor with her level of dedication, period. Dr. Farrell has helped me with a multi-faceted approach that has included everything from breathing exercises to reduce anxiety, to the appropriate medications for my conditions, to helping me to plan my days for ultimate mental and physical well-being. She has never once made me feel as though she were judging me, and allows (and encourages) my advocating for my own health if I feel like something we’re doing isn’t working. With that being said, Dr. Farrell doesn’t just shoot in the dark with medications to see what sticks and what causes side effects like the doctors I saw before her. Instead, she offers genetic testing that gives you a roadmap of what medications will likely work for you, and which to avoid. I like that Dr. Farrell isn’t just a psychiatrist, but is a medical doctor with experience in other areas outside of the field of psychiatry first and foremost. In addition to her MD, Dr. Farrell has also been board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, which means (to me, at least), that she is qualified in all aspects that one would need in order to be complete and thorough in her job."
