"They were caring, nice. Took the time with me that most medical office's don't. They made me feel comfortable. Which is very important to me. Jo Shelton , Cancer free for 9 years."
"Wanted to leave a 5 star....Dr Pardee, Megan, SOO many others are absolutely outstanding...but Dan in the pod doesn't seem to understand PPE...dude... wear gloves and pull up your dagum mask!! It's a cancer ward...people, including us are neutropenic... wearing a mask is an important part of our care....UGH"
"I have spent alot of time in the cancer center. The first time I was admitted I was diagnosed with aml leukemia and 2 days later I had a stroke. I was very grateful to be in the cancer center. I felt like and still feel like my entire cancer team was fighing for me. I spent 5 1/2 weeks in the cancer center at various levels of care. I then went to the stich center for 10 days in patient therapy. For 4 months after I was released I did 4 days of in patient chemotherapy a month, then blood test twice a week until the next chemo treatment. For 5 months. I had a terrible time with chemo but my care team were aways doing their best to make my situation better. August 23 2022 I was re admitted for stem cell transplant. The process was grooling but again the staff was amazing. From the food service personnel, cleaning staff, nurses aids, nurses, doctors and varies therapist I always felt heard and well cared for. Although the situation wasn't great I sure had a great team taking care of me. I am almost a year post transplant I see my care team once a month now and still feel like a priority."
"If I could give this hospital 0 stars I would. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. It is understaffed, the care in the cancer center hospital floor is pitiful. No medications given for a day and food was denied due to a procedure but no one would give the time of said procedure. No follow up on how the procedure went. I had to dig for answers. If you do not have an advocate DO NOT GET ADMITTED! Then on another occurrence we were told that we would be transferred to the main campus and had a bed. 2 hours later the bed was given away to another because main campus couldn’t get the paperwork and transport in order. This hospital does not know what is happening within their walls. Transportation within the hospital is also not managed properly. It will take upwards of 30-60 minutes to get a wheelchair making people late for appointments."
"Hate that I have to give the 1 star. So far so bad. Dr and their team didn't warn us about the bowel prep before surgery. Horrible Alkaseltzer type antibiotics plus fiber = puke. Surgery team didn't communicate at all. We were told 1and a half to 2 and a half hours with worst case being 4 hours. During the 7 and a half hour surgery I received a message saying "surgery is progressing and everything is going well" twice. Finally at the end the surgeon called me. The nurses were a mixed bag. They made her ask for pain meds every 4 hours after a radical surgery... We could not say we wanted them ahead of time. They were mostly rude and uncaring with the exception of 2 nurses. The food was DEFINITELY leftovers from the real cafeteria. It was all hard and gross. I actually ended up going to get her food from the real cafeteria it was so bad. They also led me to believe that everything was good and healthy in her after closing her up and have now stated that we will discuss how to proceed with further treatment at the post op appointment. So I guess they gave us false hope for a reason? Dunno the reason. Overall 2/10 and each point is for the 2 nice nurses."
