"Food is good, portions are big (you will likely have leftovers), very reasonably priced for 2024 ($40 before tips for two entrees, a stir fry veggies and two drinks). It is a bit annoying that it's cash only. I get that credit card fees are expensive, but maybe allow Venmo or something."

"Native HongKonger here. I wanted some baked rice but Kong Shik Tong (KST) was too crowded. I ordered the same thing and it tastes pretty authentic. The space is a lot more spacious than KST. The main difference between the 2 baked rice is, KST's has eggs in it. The service is superb. IMO the tablets are unnecessary in a space this small with so many staff. A lot of people give this place 1 star and I think they are either over critical, or may not be familiar with HK Cafe style food, or both."

"I had a few friends visiting the city and this restaurant has always been my go to to showing tourists an authentic hongkongnese cafe, which is hard to find outside of NYC. My goal was to order a variety of dishes that best represent what my family grew up eating. Macaroni, spam, and egg might've been the biggest surprise for them, but all of our favorites was the crispy bun and condensed milk. Although not the most authentic (the original dish is the peanut toast with condensed milk but due to my friend having a peanut allergy, we had to find a substitute), this turned to be better than the original. The bun was so crispy but also fluffy on the inside. Then, the condensed milk was the cherry on top that we all needed, adding a hint of sweetness to the dish."

"I’ve NEVER been anywhere else with such a big menu. Leaves you at a loss. My go-to is the tomato egg as pictured. Prices are cheap, love the huge selection of drinks and desserts as well. Very efficient service. Side note the bathroom is quite maximalist and fancy."

"We walked in here after crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, without a reservation but we were shown a table. At first, we weren't overly sure we felt quite welcome, with us being tourists in Chinatown but we were treated very well by our server who seemed friendly. If you do go here, myself and my travelling companions highly recommend the sweetcorn & mushroom (?) soup I think it was. Wow, it was absolutely delicious!"
