I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 3 and I thank Johnson city pediatrics for saving my life when all the doctors I had previously seen could not explain why I was having symptoms. When my mother and father scheduled the appointment to have me checked out, Dr Fish immediately checked my blood sugar and it was over 600 as a 3 year old. I do not have any history in my family with diabetes or any thyroid problems. Even the receptionist remembered who I was when I brought my son in!
