"Best money we ever spent! We took our 4mo puppy to help with bitting and aggressive play and 3 weeks later brought home a completely different dog. If you can trust the process, it really is life changing to have a dog that respects you and your home. Big props to Gene and Berk! They are wonderful! Thank you!!!"
"We took our 7 month old German Shepherd (Maverick) to New Hope Dog Training. It has been a great experience. Maverick benefited tremendously from the training, and we (owners) learned a lot from Gene and Berk that has helped us continue the training. I would highly recommend their training!"
"We are long time dog owners but it has been a long time since we had a puppy . My daughter, in response to the loss of her dog , purchased a 3 month old Scottie Puppy in September . He lived the life of a college student for the next 8 weeks ; with a loose schedule , some house breaking and with lots of attention from cute college girls and their boyfriends but not much in the way of discipline . When he arrived home with her at Thanksgiving and it became clear he was now "our" dog , my husband and I looked into our options. I investigated a number of dog training possibilities , both local ( we live in Pinehurst) and further away . New Hope Dog Training center had great reviews and I was able to speak personally to the owner about our dilemma. He felt he could help us and help our puppy Bennie ; although he warned us that a significant part of the program was training us as well . Fast forward , Bennie has completed his residential program and we have completed our 3 week commitment as well. We now have a very well behaved and happy puppy as our newest family member and we could not be happier . We were willing to invest in our puppy as we are anticipating being together for the long haul but did not want to live with the "college party animal " puppy that had arrived here at Thanksgiving . Thank you Gene and Berk . An obedient dog is truly a joy to live with !"
"I have a Jack Russell Terrier named Benny. Gene took him at 3 months for 21 days. Benny is a year old now and he’s the best guy to hang out with. He listens.. It’s not like hanging out with a drunk friend. Gene and Berk did their thing for 21 days and then they gave me three training sessions so they could also train me. It really was an awesome experience. I had a lot of anxiety about leaving Benny at 3 months old for 21 days. Gene picked up on it and put me completely at ease. He gave me a tour of the facility which was very nice and told me a lot about himself. It was easy to see that Gene loves dogs and takes his work seriously. I really enjoyed meeting Gene. I would definitely encourage you to take your puppy to Gene and Berk. Thank you Guys!!"
"I can’t say enough great things about New Hope! I really wasn’t sure how my 7 year old morkie was going to do with the training, but turns out you can teach an old dog new tricks. She’s made incredible progress and is truly thriving, and so am I! Everyone notices a huge difference in her behavior. We’re a little over a week past the last online session, and things are still going great! I’ve regained control, feel confident as a dog owner, and I’m excited to see where we are a few months from now. Biggest takeaway for myself, was Gene’s classic saying, “gotta be the mom, and stop being the girlfriend.” A new perspective can go a long way! Thanks New Hope!!"
