"Update - Do not waist your time here. These people lied to me about adult ADHD/autism evaluation not being covered by insurance. My insurance DID cover an evaluation at UNC's center for developmental disabilities. I can't recommend UNC's clinic highly enough, especially if would like to avoid being robbed by these unethical so-called "psychologists" who care more for money than for community mental health. -- Edit: I was finally informed that my referral was rejected. This happened three months ago and no one told me. Do not seek care here, you will not get it. If I could leave less than one star, I would. .. I'm not convinced that anyone actually works at this office. I have been trying to get on the schedule for testing for over two weeks and no can ever be bothered to call me back or answer the phone. This is absolutely shameful. I have worked in mental health care, in intake specifically, and I cannot imagine leaving a patient hanging like this. I have left multiple voicemails. This is an unacceptable way to treat people who are looking for mental health care. Do better and consider hiring office staff who actually care about their jobs."

"What a horrible experience this was! I was in the market for a new provider to handle medication management. I called the number on the back on my insurance card, and this practice was listed as one of my options. I informed the person who answered the phone of my situation and need for medication management and was told this was something the practice could assist me with. Getting on the patient portal was not an easy process. It took multiple back and forth emails with their CMA to get me access, as my information had been entered in incorrectly. After filling out all of the patient intake forms, I was sent an email with their outrageous fees for evaluation and diagnostics. I did not need an evaluation, as I already have a diagnosis, and I made this clear when I called to set up an initial appointment. (Side note: If you are seeking a diagnosis, it does NOT have to be an extremely lengthy and costly process. Please shop around before spending thousands of dollars here. I have gone through this process personally and with one of my children, and it was not this complicated or expensive, and it was completely covered by insurance). I was then informed that they could not help me with medication management. I have wasted weeks now trying to get care from this practice, and they now have all of my medical and insurance information. I feel deceived and schemed. I should have listened to other reviews that were left for this practice but had heard good things about the providers at this practice. Definitely trusting my gut the next time."

"UPDATE - after posting the review below I was contacted directly by Dr. Kris Herfkens, the owner of Triangle Neuropsychology, who apologized to me for the poor experience I had with the office staff and helped me understand why things happened the way they did. I have now scheduled an evaluation appointment with Dr. Herfkens and am looking forward to meeting with her. I am also changing the ⭐️ rating I previously gave from 1 to 4, because I sincerely appreciate Dr. Herfkens' efforts to rectify the situation. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* I can't comment on Triangle Neuropsychology's medical services because they refused to perform the evaluation requested by BOTH my primary care physician and psychiatrist and which my insurance company had agreed to pay for. Instead, they repeatedly claimed (falsely) that my insurance company would not pay for the requested evaluation and pushed me to have my evaluation done in their "specialty clinic", which does not take insurance and therefore allows them to charge more for the same service. (Note: I am only giving them one star because Google won't let me give them zero stars.)"
