"I had issues with billing. They stated that I got notificatons as far as payments and I never did. In a span of a week they took almost $400 out of my account. Good counselors; not so great billing."
"Like other reviewers there was errors with insurance and billing. At first was placed with a therapist who I was told was in network with my insurance, 4 sessions in I received an email saying they had made a mistake and I needed to pay an out of pocket amount of $500 immediately. Spoke with the practice owner and she was quite tart about the situation. We were moved to a different provider who was still out of net work but I paid out of pocket for each visit. Because the provider did not take payment for several visits at the time of service billing issues arose again when they deducted $800 out of my account without permission. Mind you my family had just experienced a traumatic tragic death and I feel the provider did not feel comfortable asking for money as we were bawling our eyes out during session. And the owner again was very tart about the issue of them deducting the money without authorization to do so. The provider left the practice, so we did as well. Wish the providers we interacted with all the best as they were all very nice. Owner has kind of a mean girl vibe."
"I have really mixed feelings. It was a bit difficult to get an appointment but I was able to get in. First couple appointments went fine but I never felt like I was actually receiving any help, just a place to vent. When they found out I already had the basics down and needed help beyond that, the therapist seemed to loose interest in me. When I would go in for sessions they acted really bored and didn't really provide any feedback. I am literally paying you to talk to me and this should be the one place I feel safe. The person I was seeing contacted me a few weeks later to say they were no longer going to be doing sessions and were switching jobs (probably a good thing since they seemed bored talking to people) and would recommend a different therapist. Contacted me again to say everyone was full, too bad, go somewhere else...So I was not really helped after going here for a couple months and then kicked out the door. You might find someone here that clicks with you but I was very disappointed in my experience and the way I was treated."
"The fact that I live in Virginia was missed until I joined for my first session, learning that Nicole is not licensed to treat in VA. I received a secure message telling me that at 10:04 (four minutes after my session began). This is so unbelievably unprofessional on their part. I am beyond frustrated and sincerely hope that they put measures in place to prevent this from happening in the future. This was a waste of my time and energy - I could have gotten in with someone who could actually treat me by now, but instead I waited until today to waste my time. That is very inconsiderate of the clinic. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking counseling services. Edit: Their reply below is not true. They were 100% aware of my location prior to today, as I completed various intake and demographic forms at the time of being scheduled several days ago. How did they just find out today? I submitted no new demographic information today, at all!! Just another example of the unprofessional nature of this company. Not to mention, they are happy to reply here but not to the personal email that both I sent in addition to my husband. They are interested in saving face and not apologizing."
"Don’t trust these people!!! A nightmare to get started. They don’t tell you a price for sliding scale, they just charge you. Transparency should be the bare minimum for mental health services. Terrible therapist as she kept referring themselves as “my friend” the first & only time I went. The therapist kept saying “therapist hat off for a second”. Then they charged me for an appointment after multiple emails of how I needed free therapy. They throw me around to Susan, Rebecca, & Sara so you’re never talking to the same person. Sara, the manager I assume, is incredibly rude and not accommodating at all. Go anywhere else. Edit in regards to Sara’s fake apology: We had a week long conversation about how my therapy would be free then they charged me a random amount that isn’t listed online nor was it ever discussed. Again, transparency should be the bare minimum in their field. They do not strive to help anyone, they’re in it for the money"
