"I love this Bank. The manager, Deborah is kind, supportive, smart and knows her stuff. I am greeted when I enter by the tellers and manager and my dogs are welcome as well. The interior is beautifully decorated as well as the outside. This is My bank,.it feels like family. Kat McQuown"
"The teller immediately welcomed me and gave great service."
"The teller was polite, friendly and efficient. She quickly handled the transactions that I needed to do."
"This bank will wait around on you to get five or six thousand dollars on your credit card and even though you have good credit, jump your interest rate up so high that basically nothing will go toward the principle. They make it impossible to ever pay them off. You will pay them forever if you make the mistake of getting their credit card!!!"
"My 72 year old moth got a credit card from United Community Bank. She only had about 2k on it to start with. She paid on it for a about two years. Her interest was low because her credit was good. When she got it paid down, she got a storage building that cost 6 thousand dollars. She was making her payments on time but instead of paying less than 100 dollars a month, she started sending them $150.00. After just a few payments, they sent her a bill saying that out of that 150, they raised her interest to $70.00 a month. Basically the less than 100 dollar payment that she was paying, only 30 dollars was being applied to the payment. She kept sending $150.00 and just a couple months later they raised it 10 more dollars. She voluntarily started paying 150 and so now they are taking $80.00 of the 100 dollar payment and calling it interest. She called and thought she would point out that her credit is good and she was paying extra every month with the thought that they would drop her interest rate back down. They told her that unless she could pay it in full that it would not be dropped. She has tried to transfer the balance but she financed her grandsons house and that made her debt ratio so high that I'm not sure that she is going to be able to. Are they going to raise the interest again next month? Is anything at all going to go toward the loan?? My monther is 72 and is getting too old to work. This Evil that United has done to her is exactly why people just quit paying their bills and let their credit go. This is legalised robbery of the Elderly. I'm going to see if someone else in the family can get a loan to pay this credit card off but I'm not sure if I can. Meanwhile I'm putting this out for everyone to show how this Bank will take advantage of you. You will pay them the rest of your life on a small amount with everything you pay taken and referred to as intrest. My next agenda will be WLOS news 13. Please help me to expose these crooks!"
