"H&R Block has been providing FAST, ACCURATE, PROFESSIONAL & FRIENDLY service to our family for a few years. We are particularly fond of Jessica in the Moyock, NC office. She has been the agent handling our taxes since we made the move to them and we cannot image going with another company, let alone another agent, any time soon! Thank you H&R Block and thank you Jessica for your services! It is nice to feel like we are being well taken care of on a personal level."

"Very poor job performance and professionalism from Mike. We had our 2020 taxes done by Mike at this location. Mike bungled our state taxes because he doesn’t know what the Military Spouse Residency Relief Act is. My wife and I printed and brought the MSRRA paperwork in for him and he said “it doesn’t apply to us.” He failed to provide any documentation as to why it did not apply, even when we asked him. So, naively, we took him at his word because we figured he knew what he was doing and filed anyway. After talking to several other tax providers my wife called mike to explain every other provider in the area said we qualify. He was extremely rude to her on the phone. Talking down to her and explaining “he knows what he is doing.” Well earlier this year when it was time to file, my wife and I obviously used a different provider who looked at our 2020 returns and pointed out they had been done incorrectly. So now we are back to this office on the phone, and mike gives the same ole “I know what I’m doing.” So my wife contacted a corporate office and finally got a competent supervisor to look into it. After a couple weeks we were notified that in fact Mike was wrong, like we explained to him several times, and we would be issued a refund for what we paid for state taxes. Not even an offer to amend them. Fortunately the new office we found felt bad for our experience with this office and amended mikes mistake for free. All in all we are still waiting for that 2020 state return because it was amended, and wasted probably 10+ hours dealing with this office to have no apology and no offer to fix their mistake. Also the way mike spoke to my wife is absolutely unprofessional. There is no need to condescend and talk down to someone for asking a tax preparer tax related questions."

"Had our 2020 taxes done here, very expensive. On top of the cost they did our state taxes incorrectly which I found out this year, I called 6+ weeks ago and asked for them to do an amended return for me and they apologized for the mess up and agreed to do the amended return. I’ve called multiple times to see if it’s been completed and I’ve been told each time there were a few people ahead of me?? Even after 4+ weeks?? Still haven’t received a call letting me know these have been completed. I’ll never go back here."

"Not a place I would go to again! Not fast at all. I dropped off on Friday and needed them back by Tuesday and they couldn’t tell me if they lwould be ready. I ended going somewhere different and different company that was cheaper and will have them back to us by Monday. Very rude inside the office! When I grab my paperwork back, they also had other peoples information in my paperwork. When I walked back to return it, she was not apologetic or anything. So not safe to have personnel info in others people paperwork."
