"I would definitely say that this location is better than the Briarcliff location but I’m also starting to believe that it’s just majority of the Plato’s Closets that are a complete rip off with below the bar customer service. I brought six bags worth of items and they literally only took 3 items for $12. Luckily I have sunk costs associated with all the items I was trying to sell so I accepted the $12 and donated the rest to the goodwill across the street. The next time I do my seasonal declutterring, I will definitely find a different establishment to resale my items to because the level of professionalism and care at this chain is beyond deplorable. I’m shocked they are even still in business."
"Sunday, November 26, my daughter and I arrived at 11:30am with two bins of clothes to sale. We were told it would be a wait. We decided to look in the store and wait. While looking around, the people at the front seemed to talk and gossip more than they were working. As we were sitting on the bench at the door, we saw several people bring in items after us and have their clothes processed and bought. After sitting for one hour, one of the girls came and asked if we needed help. We explained we were waiting for our buy. She went and spoke to another girl and came back and said it would be about 45 minutes. We explained we had already been waiting an hour. She went back to tell the other girl. We went to the counter, told them we would take our stuff. We were not going to wait another hour. Left and went to Clothes Mentor, our buy was processed in 25 minutes. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! Unprofessional, lack of customer service, horrible experience."
"Avoid this place!!! I am a reseller of clothes and this is the worst of all the places to go and sell your clothes. Their staff is rude because they are overworked and underpaid. When I spoke up and said I wanted the owners email address from that time on I was targeted. They intentionally bought less from me and would roll their eyes and treat me rudely. Today I saw the owner, Chris, who lied right to my face and pretended to be someone other than the owner. When I heard him answer the phone I recognized that he said he was Chris. I then confronted him saying that I knew he was the owner and told him how badly I had been treated and that I had proved to myself it was discrimination for speaking up about how badly they were treating me for asking to speak to him. I recommend you go to "Lables" because they pay three times more than Plato's closet, Rag-o-rama, or Uptown Cheapskate. Thank Me later!!!"
"I will never set foot in this location again. I called before going in to find out if I needed to keep the shoes in the boxes and Johanna, who was so sweet, told me I didn't. She also explained the buying process and how if they don't have space, they will stop buying for 30 minutes to an hour. I brought 3 trash bags of boots, sandals and Steve Madden/Michael Kors purses with a few pieces of clothing I hadn't worn in a while. All of it was nice stuff and gently worn. I even included a pair of Ugg boots that I'd only worn twice and still looked brand new. I went back after being notified that my items were ready to be picked up and the basket was filled with what looked like all of the purses except maybe two, the Ugg boots, and some sandals. I was offered $48.03-ridiculous! I declined and took my stuff to another location, minus the Uggs, where they bought 90% of my items and offered me $125.25. That was an acceptable offer because I was expecting no less than $100.00 when I went to the Sandy Springs location."
"I don’t leave reviews unless I’ve had a bad experience, my selling experience was not good. Came in with 2 garbage bags. I got 90% of my clothes back (the nicer ones), and they took I believe only 2 pairs of SHEIN jeans maybe some other cheap tops as well. This was after spending I believe $60-$70 shopping in store. Wanted my money back at that point. Side note- girls working seem unprofessional and gossipy. Do better!"
