"They came out and rescued our parrot trapped 40 feet in a tree. Scrappy was quick to respond and so incredibly patient with the process. He expertly earned the trust of our bird so he was able to grab him and bring him down. Thank you SO MUCH! We are so relieved and indebted."
"Scrappy and his crew were kind, professional, and very careful. They did an awesome job at my house and I would recommend them very highly to anybody. Gordon Vanderpool"
"I got a tall white pine lodged precariously into a black walnut whilst clearing a homesite on a steep hill. As I continued to cut away the trunk the tree became more vertical, and therefore much more dangerous for me to cut with nobody else around (for safety) for miles. So I called Mr. Gibson for a quote on getting the pine cut out of the walnut. He was able to give me a rough estimate right over the phone after I sent him a few detailed pictures via text message. It was such a good price I could not imagine anyone else beating the quote so I figured I'd hire him for the job! He asked what time would be good for ME, instead of giving me a short list of times that were good for him (something I loved about the arrangement, as it was incredibly convenient for me). He got here a few minutes early, was fast, efficient, and friendly with the work. It was an all-around painless experience for me as a customer. He did the job cautiously, and at a great price. While he was finishing up I had him give me an estimate on a few other trees that I was planning on dropping myself, and at this point it look like I will probably just hire him on to do those as well since he made such quick work on fixing my screw-up! If you have some tree work you need done, I would highly recommend calling Mr. Gibson!"
"Not a bad crew. They took their time getting all the trees cut down. They did have almost 20 trees to cut down. It took them a week to do it. They did clean up after themselves and took care not to destroy or hit and of the buildings and bushes around the area where they are working. I believe they could have had the job done a bit sooner but they were careful and the trees were enormous. Scrappy swung from the tree tops like a monkey. I believe that was definitely his calling. Anyway yes I have already recommend them to many people. I think they do a good job and have very responsible rates. I had another company come out before them to give me a quote and they wanted to charge $22,000 for the same job Scrappy charged $6,000."
"If you are in need of tree/brush removal, tree trimming , etc., do yourself a favor and call James Gibson before you call anyone else! I contacted James Gibson/(Scrappy‘s) Tree Service after hearing from people around town that his prices were most reasonable. My call was returned within the hour and the very next day the owner, James Gibson, along with one of his crew, showed up to survey the job and to give me a free estimate. He arrived when he said he would which was very refreshing as I have not had much luck with getting others to come out in the past. During our first meeting James advised me regarding the trees that may be a threat to my home and within about a week of our first meeting he and his crew returned to do the work (he would’ve been here sooner had my schedule allowed it). James and his crew recently finished up falling 3 very large trees on my property, ranging from 160ft to 200ft, that never should have been allowed to grow so large so close to the house. They did a great job and were careful not to injure other trees or shrubs in the process. They took down a 200ft tree in my side yard where there was no margin for error as it was in a very precarious place, and it was done without damaging the shed right beside it! I was amazed to watch them work and in awe of their expertise. They also did some other work for me while they were here, which included removing a very large pile of brush/yard waste. He and his crew were hard-working, professional, organized and efficient and his prices certainly cannot be beat! In total it only cost me around $900 for everything! Of note, James gave me a break on his already reasonable prices if I did the cleanup afterwords which worked out great for me. I can’t tell you how much of a relief It was to get this work done, especially after being advised by my homeowners that should a tree fall on my home or shed they would only cover damages if the tree(s) were healthy... if the trees were found to be dead/dying (which mine were) they would not cover ANY of the damages to my home or outbuildings as it would be due to my negligence! I will most certainly use James Gibson and his crew again. They exceeded my expectations on everything and I highly recommend them! I definitely plan on having them back to do some additional work for me in the future and I have already recommended James Gibson Tree Service to several of my neighbors!"
